Great place to visit! Families will love it! The animals are the national treasures of Australia. Great staff! Rachael does a fantastic job with fun activities and story time for children!. It’s a great way children to learn!, This Australian wildlife zoo is the Gem of the harbour.
Sydney Wildlife zoo at Darling Harbour is home to kangaroos, wallabies and koalas as well as a splendid wombat, an amazing duck-billed platypus and various other animals. It is a small zoo but is ideal if you don’t have a huge amount of time or you aren’t able to walk miles. We thoroughly enjoyed our couple of hours here and then went straight to the excellent Sea Life Centre, next door, afterwards.
Wish could give the name of Koala baby B become "RahShol" Rahma&Sholihah. Koala is the most memorable with Andrea Brazilian. Listening from beginning till last. Me Rahma and my daughter Sholihah. We did the Koala Breakfast Experience after our Reef at Night dining experience and I'd recommend it, particularly if it's a special event. You start your guided tour at 7.15am in a small group while the zoo is still closed and you can have free coffee or tea whilst on the ground floor. You then commence the guided tour with an experienced keeper, all the levels are joined by wheelchair accessible ramps but some are reasonably steep. You finish upstairs where the koalas are where an informative koala keeper gives a talk, this is followed by a hot buffet breakfast and photos with the koalas. You can print the photos onsite as well as downloading them online. You then descend unguided at your own pace past all the animals until your back at the entrance.
The experience was absolutely wonderful kids enjoyed seeing the Aussie animals definitely coming back again
This was a surprise last minute booking and are we ever happy we did it. We saw animals that we’d never seen before like a platypus. and lots of nocturnal creatures. One huge bonus…, we got to take photos with (not cuddling) a koala. We were only a few feet away. The caregiver, Jess, answered all of questions and took over a dozen photos. What a great few hours. Highly recommend. The brochure recommended one hour but we took longer.
Great for adults and kids! Wonderful location and staff! Very knowledgeable! We went closer to closing time and the koalas were more active!
Save your time and money and visit the zoo instead. A few good exhibits, but, lots of empty space between exhibits. Perfect for someone who wishes to stay in the local area and get a glimpse of the native animals.
We bought the package with two attractions and Wild Life was one of them. It’s a small place right in Darling Harbour, perfect for not leaving Australia without having koalas and kangaroos.
We had a fabulous morning session at this zoo at Darling Harbour. We booked the koala breakfast tour, where our small group was taken around the zoo animals before public opening time. Elenie, our tour guide was fantastic and knowledgeable on all the animals at the zoo. Her commentary was very informative and made our visit memorable. We were are to get very close to kangaroos and koalas. It was wonderful to see the koalas having breakfast as we ate our hot buffet breakfast as well. Definitely recommend if you want to see some great Australian animals in Sydney city.
