Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly tour guide who took us to highlights and added key background information to give us a better understanding of Van Gogh life and works.
It was a good experience. We are not usually museum people, but since we had some time in Amsterdam, it was a good opportunity to learn about Van Gogh. We took the guided tour and enjoyed having the guide bring us around to explain the life of Van Gogh and the development of his art through the years, including artists that seemingly influenced his art. We would definitely have been wandering around and gotten lost without the guide.
Our tour guide Martina was great
Tickets were not sent ahead of time. Had to use WhatsApp to receive the tickets. Was not a guided tour despite what the title said. I was not able to receive a refund for the guide not showing up. Would not do this tour.
Great tour guide Rolf super knowledgeable and amazing knowledge of art. Used an IPad to present pictures of art/artists that influenced Van Gough in his art was amazing
Our guide was knowledgeable and professional. He did a great job of storytelling the life of the Van Gogh family and kept my kids (ages 13, 10 and 8) engaged even though we were very jet lagged. The museum itself is nice but a bit stuffy and warm. I can only imagine what it’s like when it’s more crowded and in summer heat.
Our guide Paola, was friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with an experience unlike the usual tedious discourse of lots of information that only bores the most interested listener. We walked through a busy museum, admiring some pieces and learning details that provided us with a pleasant and meaningful experience. At the end of the tour, my wife and I felt very pleased and extremely satisfied,as if we spent 2 short hours having a very pleasant experience. Truly recommend this for Van Gogh aficionados and those just curious to hear some interesting facts about this amazing painter.
Very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and prompt with time. I got so much more out of the museum by having a guide. I would definitely recommend this!
A spectacular and remarkable tour through the gallery of Van Gogh’s portfolio, made all the better by Martina, our tour guide. Martina’s passion for the arts radiated in every word, and she ensured we had a comfortable, delightful experience the whole way. If it weren’t for her expertise, my family and I wouldn’t have ever known the depth of Vincent’s masterful masterpieces.
I absolutely loved this guided tour. I learned so much, that I never would have learned otherwise, and gained a greater appreciation for the art and artist! The group was the perfect size, 5-6 people, and in such a busy place, our guide got us right up close to all the pieces. Our guide, Martina, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend the guided tour!
