Nice museum

4 floors of artworks! We went on a weekday so it was not very busy. We bought tickets via Viator and could not make it (few family members were sick) so Viator contacted the museum and were able to change to a different date for us. Very accomodable! ☺️

Hundreds of works and beautiful space

It has a multitude of works displayed across four floors, and the small palace is a beautiful place. It is usually not crowded, so you can see it peacefully. It is a pity that nothing is displayed about how the house was back then.

Excellent

Very welcoming Museum with four floors of amazing exhibits. The staff were very helpful and on the day of visiting, entry was free. There is a small gift shop and lockers are also available. Easy to reach using public transport. The only negative was the fierce employee on the second floor (the floor with the two long rooms) who would harass people and warn about getting too close to exhibits or getting too near the glass or the fact that masterpieces shouldn’t have cameras anywhere near them.

Stunning building and collection.

The highlight for us was of course the fabulous art collection, but super cedes that is the building itself - beautiful. Even if you are fit take the lift it is a very old fashioned one - an antique. Two sets of door to close and a plush seat to sit on.

Loved it

Be sure to visite of you love art history. The collection is vaste and it’s facination how one man could assemble it all. There Are several very good paintings - among the a few of Bosch, and Quite a few by Goya. The ceilings are fun. They are not great art, but They Are obviously inspired by art. In one of them you can for instance see Goya’s Maya. There Are many other objects of art of high quality and also a collection of weapons. The house itself is also beautiful.

Excellent Museum

Fabulous collection, in an amazingly beautiful house…. Everything about this museum is so well done, something for everyone, The art collection has paintings by Bosch and Goya, the jewellery collection is extensive, on the top floor, cabinets of fabrics, ceramics, and some weapons.. It’s really worth a visit.

A MUST ON YOUR VISIT TO MADRID

I found it incredible because of the variety of elements on display and the building itself that is sensational, the visit is pleasant, once visited the ground floor as preamble I advise to go up and start from the third down, it goes towards more. .The story itself of Lazaro Gadiano and very suggestive and similar to Cerralbo as great collectors. Anyway, I didn't care what I found.

A fabulous collection in a wonderful building

Really enjoyed our visit here, it’s a fantastic collection of European art in a magnificent ornate building. Definitely worth your time. Bought our tickets at the entrance. Much less touristed than other places but so many fabulous paintings and other items including a collection of hand crafted weaponry on a higher floor.

Fantastic private collection

It has been a magnificent discovery and the collection is impressive. From jewelry to weapons, to textiles, sculptures, and above all painting. Obras de El Bosco, Goya, Velazquez, Murillo. Just stunning. The palace/house of the journalist is already worth the visit.
