Good day ! The tickets you booked (confirmation number: 1782962201) - booking number: 1400535135 - were NOT accepted at Miramare Castle. Due to the large crowds, we were unfortunately only able to visit the park and thus did not get to enjoy the interior tour. €50 is a lot of money for us, so I kindly request that you refund this amount to me. Best regards, Wilfried Lackner
We purchased a trip to Miramare castle! Absolutely beautiful! The gardens/the walk up to it and gounds and the castle itself! Quite inexpensive but one you should definitely not miss! Very well laid out and stunning views of the bay and gardens! Definitely recommended
To our surprise, my tickets received from TripAdvisor (Viator) were not recognized as valid upon arrival. The barcode that appeared on our net tickets was not working. We were able to go home anyway thanks to the kindness and understanding of the lady at the ticket office. I remain extremely surprised and unhappy with this experience. Upon leaving our visit, I checked my emails and found that TripAdvisor had just sent me new tickets at the very last minute before our scheduled time of visit.
It’s basically a skip the line ticket. But made it very easy to wander through the castle at your own place and around the grounds. Very enjoyable. Make sure to bring water as it’s hot.
Wonderful experience, beautiful place. The view is really breathtaking. If you go to Trieste is a must-see stop
The castle is spectacular and worth visiting as well as its gardens and the whole area. In my opinion 15 euros is a little expensive to see only the interior of the castle (the rest of areas can be seen for free). Parking if you go by car is complicated and it is better to leave it parked a little further and enjoy the beautiful promenade.
The taxi driver dropped us off at the gate into the grounds. We walked along a treelined avenue along the water toward Miramare Castle. The castle stands on the tip of the promontory overlooking the sea. It also sits in front a beautiful park. It is worth knowing that the residence was commissioned by Archduke Ferdinand Maxmilian of Habsburg and his wife Charlotte and built between 1856-1860. The entrance fee was 15 Euros per person. The castle was small, but impressive. Strangely, it felt like a working palace for comfort. There were views out to sea from most of the rooms including the wood paneled library. We also walked around the outside of the castle and its grounds which held clear views out to the Gulf of Trieste. The views of the castle through tree tops branches and flowering hedges truly could have been imagined from a fairytale. Within the gardens, a short walk from the castle is the Castelletto, which was the residence where Maximilian and Charlotte first lived in Miramare while waiting for the castle to be completed. We made our way out of the gardens in the back, down a flight of stairs and onto the marina with cafes. Just a short walk from the marina is where regular ferries leave back to Trieste. It was good to get a different vantage point from the ferry towards Miramare. Definitely worth a visit if you come to Trieste!
Excellent place to visit and Viator got us there. The gardens were beautiful and the castle was really worth seeing.
Beautiful castle just wish we knew more of the history no one trlls you anything. It was raining and a ling walk to entrance they bad shuttle carts but they wouldnt pick us up
The location of the castle is spectacular; the castle itself and the associated history are very interesting; and the ornamental gardens are themselves worth the visit.
