A visit to a Gaudi building is an adventure to blow your mind, and Casa Batlló is one of the best. From the colorful facade to the incredibly organic interior, it is like no building I’ve ever seen. It is over 100 years old, yet feels contemporary and fresh.
Casa Battlo' is a wonderful place to visit and very popular, so pre-booking is essential. We had the night tour with Platinum tickets to enjoy it the house to its fullest. While the building and the tour is excellent, expectations must be adjusted for the overall experience. The house is often very crowded and taking pictures is a real challenge. Do not expect anything like the pictures you see on different websites. The two multimedia experiences, Gaudi' Globe and Gaudi' Cube do not add anything to the visit and are just a smoke screen to justify higher prices. The augmented reality tablet is also pretty pointless. Pictures from outside are also almost impossible due to the unpleasant presence of illegal and quite rude street vendors. The Battlo' private residence is absolutely the best part of the visit. The bottom line is that the house is amazing, the experience not so much, but still totally worth it.
There's only a small number of rooms and there's so so many people. At the start of the audio guide they say to "close your eyes and relax". It's a bit hard to relax when the building is absolutely packed with people. The number of rooms you're allows to see is heavily dependant on how much you pay and what ticket tier you have. If you show up on the day, the cheapest ticket is 41 euros to see the least number of rooms. To see all the rooms, price goes up to 100 euros. I personally wouldn't pay more than 10 euros to see Casa Batllo.
Finally in Barcelona for an experience that gave me the opportunity to know Gaudi, genius and artist. A complete visit to the halls and terrace is worth it! You will have the magical experience.
We were late over an hour due to crazy traffic in Barcelona and the staff was super kind and let us in to our tour. Other companies might have said sorry you missed your time slot but not this one! Thank you !!! Also my mother needs a double knee replacement and has limitations on climbing stairs the elevator was easily accessible. The immersive 3d experience aka the cube was amazing! A must see!
Unfortunately, Casa Batlló has lost the charm it once had... I returned to see it for the 3rd time. In June 2026. And technology has eliminated it. Any other type of information method to understand where one is located!!! There is no information panel, and a fantastic wonderful map of the house is not provided to help us understand how to move and where to go. Everything is entrusted to an audio guide. Which activates the moment one enters a place and repeats the information only once. It feels like being in school; you heard it well, and if you didn't, too bad for you. The fact is that nothing is understood about the house; all the beautiful explanations and details of all the brilliant things Gaudí created inside the house are lost. For me, it is unfortunate to become slaves to technology; I do not see it as a help in this case, as I cannot respect my own pace when I might want to listen to a piece. And then look, observe a detail better, take a photo, and then return to listening. Honestly, I lose all the beauty of a visit. All of this is exacerbated by a truly exorbitant cost. As many as two floors are dedicated to shopping; I also enjoy doing it and buying a memorable item. However, it is practically no longer a visit to the house. It is a place to spend money and leave with very little information regarding Gaudí. It is a shame because the house deserves five stars, but this new type of visit deserves less than one.
We so enjoyed this tour! The flow of people visiting the house was easy. The iPad and earbuds made it easy to go at our own pace. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
We had platinum tickets for our tour with the intelligent audio guide and I'm so glad we decided to purchase this ticket. Using the tablet to walk around and hear the information was so helpful and informative. I suggest taking an early tour as the crowds got quite large as the morning went on. Highly recommend!
Visit with French audio guide
Casa Batlló is undoubtedly one of the most incredible places I have ever visited. It is essential to take the tour with the augmented reality audio guide, which provides a completely new and even more immersive dimension to the experience. Every corner holds a surprise, and hearing the explanation of Gaudí's stylistic choices is thrilling. If you have even just 5 minutes to spare while you are in Barcelona, this is where you need to come!
