Itinerario

Entrada incluida5 min

Entrada no incluida20 min

A great way to enjoy Estonia beyond Old Town

My husband and I had a great time traveling around the countryside with Roman. He showed us so many beautiful places and told us all about the country he loves. We are so glad we ventured out of Old Town (which we also enjoyed) to get a more comprehensive appreciation for Estonia.

CHEATED OUT OF NEARLY HALF THE TOUR!

My advice: DO NOT USE THIS GUY!! There’s no other way to look at it than he cheated us, especially since the listing has been greatly changed in the past two days — we took a screenshot with the old details. What happened: We booked a six-hour tour that listed seven stops on the itinerary, including admission into two museums and the RUMMU Prison Quarry, plus entry into two other attractions that we would have to pay. Three hours into the tour, while I was in the washroom at lunch, he told my wife that our tour would be cut short because he had booked another after ours. Not “Pardon me, but would it be okay if I shorten your tour, so I can take out another group?” My response would have been it depends on what you’re planning to remove, and how will you compensate us? But he sprang this when the two of us were separated, then with me sitting in the front seat, she didn’t have the opportunity to tell me. Shortly thereafter, we’re at the spot that I most wanted to see — RUMMU Prison Quarry — but he says we”re not able to go in, then starts looking for a drone video on his phone. But what’s odd is people are walking around inside. Odder still, the gate opens and a van with people we knew from the cruise drove through. He says, “Oh. They got lucky.” Again, though, I didn’t know about the conversation. The tour ends, he drops us off, and my wife immediately says he ended it early so he could do another tour. At that point, I thought about him telling us, “Oh. They got lucky,” and I found it hard to take it as anything other than he lied to us. And that pissed me off. The sum total of what we lost out on: Suurupi Front Lighthouse, RUUMI Prison Quarry, Huuru Watermill, and at least one museum. Again, we have a screenshot of the listing from just two days ago, and I have my search history as I told my wife, “We didn’t see this. We didn’t see that…..” Under normal circumstances, I’d ask for a partial refund, but I’m 99.9% sure this guy lied to us and cheated us out of nearly two hours of the tour and what was listed above, so I asked for a full refund. What did he refund us? $30.38. Think about that. He had no intention to offer any refund for greatly shortening our excursion, but instead he insulted us with $30.38. And that's probably equal to the admission tickets he didn't buy. Two things: • We've had something similar happen in another city. The operator had to change the attractions, so before we even started the tour, he told us he was going to give us a healthy refund. Then he lived up to that. • I own a business, selling cabinets. A client had bought a larger refrigerator than what she had previously owned. I told her we had put a 33” in the drawing, which we had gone over. She said, “But Mike had said he was going to fit in a 36” fridge.” I remembered that moment, and truthfully, we always upgrade to 36” openings, so I immediately wondered why Mike did that. But equally as quickly, I told her I’d order new cabinets to fit her new fridge. It cost me $3,000 and hurt like hell. But it was the right thing to do. Something this guy refused to do. Which is why I repeat: DO NOT USE THIS GUY!

Dear Jason! Thank you for so long review. You can find my reply below. I consider this tour successfully completed. Our tour has flexible timing and it lasted 5h (10:30-15:30), you accepted meeting time and place at the port. I usually use +1h gap for visiting fishing farm (if we skip lunch in Paldiski for fishing in Huuru watermill), entrance to Pakri lighthouse inside ( it is open only on weekends) or driving by the convertible funny car in Paldiski, but we can do it only in warm summer days. That’s why my tour on weekdays is cheaper, then weekends. We skipped Suurupi lighthouse because of reconstruction, and we would see only plastered coat instead of its body, so it would be weird to spend our time for nothing. We covered 2 other lighthouses which were great and historical. Rummu quarry is closed on weekdays till June, but only authorised Rummu staff can visit it inside with car. I definitely know it, as I often contact with them directly. We could not drive through, we could do it on foot, and I made a fair refund. It seemed, you enjoyed my video and felt OK to drive ahead to the next attraction. As for Hurru fishing farm, we also passed it by on our way back to Tallinn, we saw it from the car window. Your review hurt me much, especially accusing me of lying. I regret, we did not come to agreement. Greetings!

Great Tour for a Deeper Dive into Estonian History and Culture

A great way to see Estonia outside of Tallinn, especially with Dmitry, our tour guide. We vastly expanded our insight of Estonian history and now have greater appreciation of this culture. Dmitry is a terrific guide who went out of the way to make sure we had a memorable tour.
