Los Museos Vaticanos son el museo nacional de la Ciudad del Vaticano, en Roma. Fundados por el Papa Julio II en el siglo XVI, ocupan gran parte del amplio patio del Belvedere y son una de las mayores colecciones de arte del mundo, ya que exhiben la enorme colección de obras de arte acumulada a lo largo de los siglos por los papas: la Capilla Sixtina y los apartamentos papales con frescos de Miguel Ángel y Rafael son parte de las obras que los visitantes pueden admirar en su viaje. Aunque los museos están ubicados íntegramente en territorio vaticano, su entrada es en territorio italiano, en viale Vaticano 6 en Roma.
Visite la maravillosa Capilla Sixtina y admire los frescos de Miguel Ángel, famosos en todo el mundo y considerados una piedra angular del arte occidental. La Capilla Sixtina (en latín: Sacellum Sixtinum), dedicada a María Asunta a los Cielos, es la capilla mayor del palacio apostólico, así como uno de los tesoros culturales y artísticos más famosos de la Ciudad del Vaticano, inserto en el itinerario de la Museos Vaticanos. Fue construido entre 1475 y 1481, en tiempos del papa Sixto IV della Rovere, del que tomó su nombre. Es conocido en todo el mundo tanto por ser el lugar donde se celebra el cónclave y otras ceremonias oficiales del Papa (en el pasado también algunas coronaciones papales), como por estar decorado con algunas de las obras de arte más conocidas y celebradas en la civilización artística a nivel mundial, entre los que destacan los famosos frescos de Miguel Ángel.

- Saltarte la cola incluida, significa que estarás en la cola rápida, no que no habrá nadie delante de ti.
- Recibirás una confirmación en el momento de realizar la reserva.
- La tarifa juvenil es aplicable a estudiantes y niños: se requiere documento de identificación con fotografía que acredite la edad.
- La entrada a lugares de culto y algunos museos requiere vestimenta adecuada. No se permiten pantalones cortos ni camisetas sin mangas. Las rodillas y los hombros DEBEN estar cubiertos.
- Su libro electrónico gratuito se enviará automáticamente una vez que su reserva se haya confirmado con éxito.

Warning, this is a scam. The tour operator changed the meet point the day before, did not show, would not answer calls and then rejected my request for a refund. We were at the designated spot 30 minutes in advance.

I had the worst experience ever. We've book a tour for 350 euros and they just cancelled our reservation only a day prior.

The tour was meant to start at 9.30am to beat the crowds but we did not enter the Vatican museum till at least 11 am

Tour guide was outstanding. The Viator organization not so much. I must have received at least a dozen reminders of time and date. In the end they were all wrong. Fortunately the time was later than earlier. Not good.

The guide Filippo very professional and very prepared. But at the Vatican Museum he explained that we could either visit the papal apartments painted by Rafaello or relax with the group in the Sistine Chapel of Michelangelo. I think it is not possible to lose the painted apartments of Rafaello was a very serious failure.I was very sad and my companion too. For the amount paid I think it was fair a differentiated treatment. At first the tour was scheduled for 16.30 after they alerted that it was 14.30 (;14.00 in the agency) I think something wrong happened and the value was not appropriate for the tour done. Greetings. Excellent and knowledgeable tour guide, easy meeting place, perfect flow through tour with explanations! Sistine chapel close for conclave so tour ended early and no refund from viator. I’d recommend but maybe viator should have contacted us to adjust rate.

Although we misunderstood our meeting point and arrive late to the right location. They were still able to accommodate us at a later time. The tour itself was amazing and our tour guide was able to explain and pinpoint areas of interest to us all. I gave it five stars because it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it. I would also take this tour again if I have an opportunity to visit Rome again in the future.

Gabriel was our guide and he was fabulous. He was a great story teller with extensive knowledge of the history of the vatican.
