Long bus ride but worth it! Remember to bring a jacket it gets cold at the top. Definitely worth the trip
Cons - it’s a very long day twelve hours from pick up to drop off for us (may be shorter on some days) it’s cold at the top take a coat/jumper. Pros - it’s all worth it. It is an incredible trip and every turn was jaw-droppingly beautiful. Just incredible. The coach driver was amazing and Thomas our tour guide was brilliant. Worth every penny even if you don’t like heights!!!
Great but a little scary at times as so high up in the Dolomites, spectacular scenery though. Well worth it though
We had a magical day to the Dolomites with Karen and Emra. We made several stops along the way and Karen had very helpful suggestions about how to best make use of the short stops - it's a full day, we were out for about 13 hours in total and we crammed in a LOT! As people mention, the stop at the Dolomites themselves is a little short when you do the cable car and get something to eat but it is 100% worth it. I'd recommend this trip to anybody.
You are on the road for 2 hours to pick everyone up then follows a completely unnecessary 45 minute break at a shopping street with ATM, after that you have just 2 hours including cable car in the dolomites and then again in a completely crowded market street in a supposed mountain village 45 minutes including a long walk over a bridge should leave your money there. To call this whole thing a dolomite tour is madness, never again!!!
The Dolomites were an amazing sight, especially the cable car to the top to have a walk around. This is an extra charge of €25.50 each which you need to take in cash but we had no warning about. I had seen this in reviews so we did have the cash on us. The team were Fredrick and Paulo, both were fantastic, it was an informative and interesting day. It’s a very long day, almost 13 hours from pick up to drop off. There are three stops, but the one with the cable car is the one that the trip is about, seeing the actual Dolomites. There is 2 hours for this and you’re told to have lunch at the restaurant there too but then you will have very little time to have a walk around at the top of the cable cars. Thankfully I had read previous reviews so had made a packed lunch for the four of us, and taken lots of snacks for the long day. Also take extra layers for the top, it was a very hot day in lake Garda (34C) but we needed jumpers and gloves at the top. You definitely need good gripping shoes too. Please also check about the pick up point well in advance after booking. The pick up point I picked on the viator options when booking was different to the one on the receipt. And then completely different to the one I was told after contacting the local tour operator. After a very expensive call to Viator in USA along with calls to the local tour operator, it finally got resolved. However waking my kids up at 5.30am to be at a pick up point for 6.50am was an extra nerve wracking thing when I still wasn’t sure if we’d be picked up. We were picked up at 7.10am in the end, and in total there were 13 people at peschiera train station, so I am very confused why there wasn’t clearer information about this. I would recommend this trip but it would really help to have been given a bit more information about it without reading through reviews, and to have clear pick up information.
Great scenery, interesting stories told by tour guide, super professional and safe driver. One gains the most amazing impressions of the views, beautiful nature and the little towns are very cute. Most time is spent on bus, but I didn’t mind, it was hot outside and it was fully air conditioned, I could relax and enjoy everything. Cable car ride and walk up there was stunning experience! Now I know which places I want to revisit! Both valleys were incredibly beautiful, I loved St. Ulrich too. I definitely had a good time.
