From beginning to end, we were impressed with the stories about the ancient life found underground. Justin clearly has extensive study of Rome and her history. It was an absolute pleasure to share the morning with him. (and get away from the crowds!)

Justin is an exceptional guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about ancient Roman history and how it impacted societal norms and practices. His delivery is very engaging giving you a wonderful perspective of ancient Roman life without it ever seeming like a history lesson. He makes it so interesting that you don’t even realize that you are, in fact, getting a history lesson. Thé tour is fascinating. Well worth it.

The Ultimate Underground Tour with Justin is tremendous. The depth of knowledge he has to share, along with his humorous anecdotes, completely immerses you in the vast varied history of Rome through the lens of two particular locations - the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo and the Basilica of San Clemente. If you are looking for a tour that feels exclusive, keeping one from feeling like just another numbered tourist, then you have found your guide and experience. We can only hope he adds more excursions to his offerings.
We are Dave and Kim from the UK, and we booked the Ultimate Underground Tour before arriving in Rome. From start to finish the whole booking and starting the tour was faultless. Justin our tour guide contacted us the night before the tour to confirm meeting location and start time, and when we arrived he text us to let us know where he was. The tour itself was fantastic and took us back in time hundreds of years. Justin’s expert knowledge and enthusiasm was evident throughout the whole tour, which brought the who experience to life. We would both highly recommend the tour as having Justin as a guide is so much better than trying to glean the information on all the underground buildings and artefact’s for yourself.
