Conozca a su guía profesional en su hotel de Salzburgo y comience su viaje hacia los Alpes bávaros. Dejando atrás la histórica ciudad, disfrute de un pintoresco paseo en coche por el valle de Salzach en su camino hacia el primer punto culminante del día, el castillo de Hohenwerfen.
Castillo de Werfen es una de las fortificaciones de montaña más magníficas de los Alpes y también se utilizó en la película “Donde el Águila se atreve” con Richard Burton y Clint Eastwood. Fue el castillo de Werfen el que se usó como Nido de Águila, no el lugar original en los Alpes bávaros. Llegue a la encantadora ciudad bávara de Berchtesgaden, donde tendrá tiempo para relajarse y disfrutar de un almuerzo tradicional bávaro (con cargo propio). Pasee por el centro histórico, descubra las tiendas locales o simplemente sumérjase en el ambiente alpino antes de continuar su viaje al Obersalzberg y el Nido del Águila.
El Obersalzberg es uno de los lugares más significativos históricamente en los Alpes bávaros, una vez que sirvió como sede secundaria clave del régimen nazi. Durante su parada, su guía le indicará el antiguo sitio Berghof, la residencia de montaña de Hitler, y le explicará la importancia histórica de esta zona dentro de su entorno alpino. Desde el Obersalzberg se accede al Nido del Águila con autobuses especiales y ascensor. Tendrás 2 horas en el Nido del Águila. Dé un paseo hasta la cumbre muy cercana Kehlstein para ver los pintorescos Alpes bávaros y austriacos. Desde el 1 de noviembre hasta el 10 de mayo (depende de las condiciones de nieve del año), la carretera de acceso directo Eagle's Nest está cerrada alternativamente, ofrecemos visitar la cumbre de Rossfeld. Desde este mirador, sumérjase en las vistas panorámicas de los impresionantes Alpes austriacos y bávaros y el cercano Nido del Águila. Siéntase libre de elegir esta opción también cuando se abra el Nido de Águila si prefiere un sitio mucho menos concurrido y más local que el Nido de Águila.

Patrick made our first full day in Salzburg the BEST. This is who you want introducing you to this spectacular region: a local expert who’s down-to-earth, personable, funny, courteous and so knowledgeable. It was raining, so Patrick gave us some immediate great options — we loved that flexibility and wound up having a fascinating day seeing Salzburg highlights, beautiful German towns, WWII bunkers, the remains of Hitler’s house where so many monstrous acts were devised…. eerie but fascinating. Then to Eagle’s Nest for the can’t-miss trip inside. Patrick navigated the roads AND all our questions with ease. You can tell he loves history which makes this tour so vivid and fascinating. Great person, clear communication, excellent advice both during and after (we’ll try that Kaasknocken you recommended!) — we’ll be telling everyone we meet about Patrick. Five stars. Can we add another? SIX STARS.

100 percent worth having seen once, but also sad, useless, given events....
We had a fantastic day with Gabi as our guide. The timing of everything was perfectly coordinated. The highlight of the day was the falconry show at Werfen castle. Then on to a fabulous lunch at the Eidelweiss hotel in Berchtesgarden. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for views at Eagles Nest but we still really enjoyed seeing it, and stopping by the site of Hitlers home.
Fabulous private tour of Werfen Castle and The Eagle’s nest with a great rooftop restaurant stop en route. Our guide Patrick was informative, entertaining, personable and his English was excellent. He also came well equipped with videos and photos to provide context and enhance the experience. Highly recommend this tour.
We did a private tour of the Werfen Castle and Kehlstein( Eagles Nest). Patrick out driver and guide was excellent, knowledgeable and fun. He even pre booked a great lunch place at the Edelweiss Hotel in Berchtesgaden. He also threw in a couple of Sound of Music sites as he knew we were fans and movie fans. I would highly recommend Patrick and MCM for sight seeing trips if you do not want to drive .
What a terrific experience. The locations were as you would expect; surreal & full of thoughtful history. But Manfred, our guide, added a hue we didn't anticipate. As you embark on a tour in an unfamiliar place with an unfamiliar new face, Manfred's demeanor was positively engaging out of the gate. What a treat to experience a tour with a guide so committed to the experience and genuinely engaged as if you were old acquaintances. Really; very nice work. Highly recommended.
