Descubra la nueva capital de Tayikistán, Dushanbe, y la antigua ciudad de Hissar. Hoy irás a la fortaleza de Hisar (siglos VII-XVII), que se encuentra a 35 km de la ciudad. Hay zonas fortificadas y una ciudadela en este sitio histórico. La fortaleza sirvió como residencia del Emir de Bukhara. Su ubicación estaba en una colina alta y las aspilleras protegían un muro de 1 metro. Dentro de la fortaleza había un jardín y, enfrente, un animado mercado con un caravasar y tiendas. Después visitará los principales lugares de interés de Dushanbe: el Museo Nacional, la Mezquita, el Bazar y la Plaza de la Independencia.

Nuestro recorrido por la ciudad comenzará con una visita a la Fortaleza de Hissor, uno de los principales lugares históricos del país, a aproximadamente media hora en coche desde la ciudad. La fortaleza fue construida hace unos 3000 años, durante el apogeo, cuando las rutas de la Gran Ruta de la Seda pasaban cerca de Hissar. La Fortaleza Hissar es uno de los monumentos arquitectónicos más grandes y antiguos de Asia Central. Ahora es un museo al aire libre con una superficie de 86 hectáreas, ubicado en el sitio de un antiguo asentamiento. Se encuentra a 30 km de la capital de Tayikistán. Durante mucho tiempo, la fortaleza de Hissar sirvió como residencia del gobernador del emir de Bukhara. Hoy en día sólo quedan dos torres cilíndricas y estructuras alrededor de la puerta principal, formando un arco apuntado, y construidas según las instrucciones del emir de Bukhara en el siglo XVI.
El Museo se enorgullece de poseer artefactos del Eneolítico y de la Edad del Bronce del asentamiento agrícola de Sarazm, un sitio incluido en la lista del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO. Los hallazgos que datan del período helenístico procedentes del templo de Oxus excavados en el sitio de Takht-i Sangin a orillas del río Amu Darya son únicos. Lo más destacado del museo es el "Buda en el Nirvana", una estatua de arcilla de casi 13 metros de altura, que hoy es uno de los monumentos antiguos del budismo más grandes del mundo.
Después de visitar el Bazar Mehrgon. Mehrgon es un mercado de alimentos nuevo y moderno en Dushanbe, la capital de Tayikistán, inaugurado en septiembre de 2014. La superficie total del mercado es de aproximadamente 30 mil metros cuadrados.
Continúe hasta la Plaza Dusti ubicada en el centro de Dushanbe, es el corazón de la capital y de todo Tayikistán. Su nombre se traduce como "Plaza de la Amistad". Sin embargo, los lugareños llaman a este lugar "Monumento a Ismail Somoni" o "Parque Somoni", ya que hay un monumento al fundador del estado tayiko, Ismail Somoni. El imponente monumento a Ismail Somoni, de 13 m de altura, es la atracción distintiva de la plaza Dusti. Un hermoso arco (de más de 43 m) corona el monumento.

Very enjoyable day with Dilik. We had a terrific day engaging with the history, architecture, and culture of Tajikistan. It’s a super tour that allows travelers to see a cross-section of Dushanbe monuments and the Hisar (Hissar or Hisor) fortress and madrasa. We were also able to squeeze in the Imam Abu Hanifa Cathedral Mosque, which was exquisite. Dilik is a professional and took great care of us. We recommend this tour for anyone staying in Dushanbe and wants to see and learn more about regional history.
The Hisor Fortress is a site that must be visited if you go to Dushanbe. It is not far and you can go by taxi at a better price than what I paid for this excursion, which was a total disappointment. The fortress is small and then I visited some points in the city; in my case, I was traveling alone and the guide was hitting on me, which meant that I did not feel comfortable and I canceled the Iskanderkul excursion with this agency the next day. I find it very unprofessional for a guide to hit on a traveler; I would not recommend the excursion because it is cheaper by taxi and it is not difficult at all.
The city is clean and beautiful with lovely parks and flowers (late May) but who wants to see only old statues and memorials?? Many Cafes and restaurants but unfortunately it was Eid holiday that day and everything was closed , couldnt even exchange money as banks were closed. Restaurants dont accept cards or dollars, only local currency. we had to borrow from our kind guide. The museum visit was boring!! Most Tajik museums are not well presented although the content is pretty ok. Toilets are horrible although you pay to use- dirty and stinking!! Hissar fortress is a good place to visit ..but not in summer!! the best thing about Dushanbe are the friendly locals!

Dilik was my tour guide and gave me a very detailed overview of Dushanbe and Hisor, while showing me the main highlights of both. He was on time and drove safely. Overall a great intro to Dushanbe. The next day I also took a transfer to Samarkand with them which went smoothly. Recommended!

I really had a great day with Dilik who knew every details of every corner we’ve visited, I had to learn a lot about the country and its history. We started by visiting hissar fortress and then went around Dushanbe. He also took me to a nice local place for lunch where I have tried Kurutob. I really recommend this day trip !
