Our guides, Brenda snd Laura, made the experience special. In addition to being knowledgeable about the history, they were kind and supportive well beyond expectations. I ascended the Duomo stairs with the support of a cane. They provided encouragement, and a little rest when needed, yet still kept to the schedule. I could not have done it without their approach and care. The view and the experience was worth every step and every penny.
The Florence Duomo Skip-the-Line After Hours Tour was such a unique experience. Being inside the cathedral with almost no one else there made it feel peaceful, quiet, and incredibly special. The history, architecture, and artwork were truly amazing to see up close. The private terrace was an amazing added touch and gave us a unique perspective of Florence. The climb to the top of the Duomo is challenging with many steps and narrow passageways, but the view is absolutely worth it. Walking along the inside of the dome and seeing the paintings up close was an unforgettable experience. A wonderful way to experience the Duomo and appreciate its incredible history and craftsmanship.
This was an amazing and rare experience and I highly recommend it. There are about 400 steps to climb to the top within confined spaces, so be prepared. And if song this during the dinner, hydrate before taking this on. The view (which brought my history books to life) and the tour in general are worth it. I do wish though that we could have spent more time at the top. Thank you, Chiara!
Regina did a great job during the guided tour of Florence. The tour was fascinating, interesting, and beautiful. Regina is very passionate and enthusiastic. We learned a great deal.
Regina was a wonderful guide with a lot of insightful information.
Jessica was enthusiastic about the art and history of Florence and the Renaissance so we gained so much more from her knowledge, to enjoy and appreciate the beautiful Florence. Take comfortable shoes and sit down when you can. Well worth it, especially if in a shorter break here, to gain as much as possible in your time here
Brenda was amazing!!! So knowledgeable and friendly, she did a great job of showing us so many fun hidden features of the city. Her pace was perfect, she frequently stopped and checked in with everyone for their comfort. Can’t recommend her highly enough, she was awesome!!!
Like the other reviews say, this is one of those unique must-do tours! Our guide was excellent, the climb was not, and the experience of being last in the duomo when they shut off the lights is spectacular.
Fantastic tour of a truly amazing and awe-inspiring church. Antonio was very knowledgeable, attentive to the needs of the group and very much enhanced this incredible experience.
The experience is quite magical, when we got in there was still a few other visitors in the church but not many. We got our personal key keeper (they had these old keys opening doors just for our group), they opened the doors so we could go to the side of the basilica on a walkable balcony/ ledge (photo below). By the time we got back inside it was just us, it's hard to explain the sensation. There was a moment when everyone was silent just looking up (you'll see why when you get there). I've got so much more to tell and took some great photos but I don't want to spoil anything. On a special note, a huge thank you to Elena (our tour guide). The experience is totally worth it
