Prepárate para una aventura inolvidable por el sur de la República Dominicana. Iniciaremos en las impresionantes Dunas de Las Calderas, un paraíso de arena dorada que parece sacado de otro planeta. Este desierto tropical, único en el Caribe, te invita a explorar su inmensidad, tomar fotos increíbles y deslizarte por sus suaves colinas con una tabla de sandboard. Luego, nos dirigiremos a la hermosa Playa El Derrumbao. Tras una breve caminata, llegaremos a un espectacular punto de snorkel, donde te sumergirás en aguas claras y tranquilas para descubrir el mundo marino, podrás ver desde peces de colores brillantes hasta enormes bancos que nadan en perfecta sincronía. La aventura continúa con una visita al Parador de Iguanas, donde podrás alimentarlas y conocer de cerca a estas increíbles criaturas. Para cerrar el recorrido, exploraremos las minas de sal, donde se encuentran las famosas aguas rosadas, un espectáculo natural que parece sacado de un sueño.

Itinerario
Después de salir de las dunas, nos dirigiremos hacia la Playa El Derrumbao. Allí realizaremos una caminata de aproximadamente 15 a 20 minutos hasta llegar al punto de snorkel, donde comenzará vuestra aventura acuática. En esta experiencia podrán observar la fauna marina local, con la posibilidad de ver desde coloridos peces loro hasta impresionantes cardúmenes de miles de peces.
Llegaremos a la entrada de las dunas, donde el guía les colocará un brazalete de acceso y les entregará los sandboards. Luego, iniciaremos una caminata de aproximadamente 10 a 15 minutos, durante la cual podrán tomar fotos del impresionante paisaje del Gran Desierto Dominicano. Además, tendrán la oportunidad de usar las tablas y deslizarse por la suave y fina arena.

Jonathan was such an amazing guide! He was able to pick me up from my hostel, he cared for us all day with water, snacks, and food. Took us to some really cool spots with some surprises along the way which I enjoyed a lot lol it was honestly one of the best tour experiences I’ve had! Truly and amazing person 😊
Jonathan Tineo @djtineo was a great tour guide. He is knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and is very cool! He recommends well and gives you time to enjoy the activities. He was also our photographer and shared the pictures with us. At the end of the excursion, he dropped us back off at our Airbnb which was very nice.
Had a fantastic experience-easily the best part of my trip to the Dominican Republic overall. Jonathan did a great job as a guide and host and his passion for showing parts of the country not well explored by tourists was admirable. If you ever need a break from the hustle and bustle of Santo Domingo, please consider this tour-the natural beauty of the Bani area can't be overstated.

Excellent experience all around with an excellent guide
Everything went exactly as planned and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. The visit to Dunas de Baní was incredible — the landscape truly feels like a desert, and the short hike to the dunes was enjoyable with plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos. Sandboarding was a lot of fun, and the guides made sure everyone felt comfortable and prepared. After the dunes, we headed to El Derrumbao Beach, where we took a short hike to the snorkeling spot. The walk was easy and scenic, and the water adventure was definitely a highlight. The snorkeling experience was beautiful, with lots of marine life to observe, including colorful fish and large schools swimming around us. The guides were organized, friendly, and everything ran on time. Overall, a well-planned activity that delivered exactly what was promised — highly recommended for anyone looking for adventure and nature in one experience.
I loved this tour. We visited uncrowded places, which made the experience much more special and quiet. We were able to enjoy each place without crowds and connect better with the environment. I definitely recommend it.
Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgable! Mostly I enjoyed feeding the Iguanas some romain lettuce. Fun day!
It was a fantastic experience. Jonathan was a wonderful guide. Very informative and a pleasure to be around. He was timely with his pick-ups and drop-offs. The beaches were gorgeous, and it was a magical experience seeing all those fish while snorkeling.Sandboarding down the dunes was a rush, and the view from the top was gorgeous. Do be mindful that if you go to the dunes, you’ll get sand literally everywhere. Highly recommend.
