Celebrating Diwali with Rekha and Akhilesh was a very nice experience, they are super kind and I really enjoyed getting to know a little bit more about their culture. On the top of that, Rekha is a great cook so we had a delicious dinner. Wholeheartedly recommended!

My husband & I had a truly unique & humbling experience visiting Rekha’s home on the first day of the Diwali festival (Dhanteras) to celebrate & learn from her & her family in a way you will not from a book. This is not your typical tourist attraction & Rekha went above & beyond to authentically make us feel as much a part of the Diwali festivities as the rest of the family including us in the process of decoration, making candles, preparing for worship, traditional dress, very tasty traditional rajasthan Diwali meal, fireworks, an incredible henna tattoo & tour around the market of Udaipur with all the lights of Diwali. It was a truly immersive & special evening that we are unlikely to forget & taught us so much about Indian hospitality & culture. We highly recommend - come with an open & inquisitive mind & you will not be disappointed. Thank you Rekha, Akhil & family.

On our last year trip to India i am my husband booked a session for diwali with local family the true spirit of Diwali thanks to an family of rekha who welcomed us into their home also We got to help create a rangoli, an intricate decoration made with coloured sand to adorn the floor of an entranceway. It was a delight to learn from Rekha who drew a pretty peacock design for us to fill in – even if it did test my hip flexibility and art skills. We also took part in henna on our hands in beautiful designs. I learned that as well as a celebration of lights, this festival is a time of faith, family and feasts. Also heard from them how families prepare for Diwali by cleaning their homes and wearing traditional clothes and jewelry
