A su llegada a Fátima, podrá disfrutar de su tiempo libre, hasta el inicio del Rosario a las 21:30 horas, para comer o, si lo prefiere, explorar el Santuario a su aire. El sitio ofrece diversos espacios de oración, sitios históricos y ambientes de gran serenidad, ideales para quienes deseen conocer más sobre este importante centro espiritual. Entre los puntos de mayor interés se encuentra la Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, templo principal del Santuario de Fátima. Construida entre 1928 y 1953, esta imponente basílica, de arquitectura neobarroca, fue erigida en el lugar donde, según la tradición, los tres pastorcitos vieron la misteriosa luz que los guió hasta Cova da Iria, dando inicio a los acontecimientos que harían conocida Fátima en todo el mundo. En su interior se encuentran las tumbas de Lucía, Francisco y Jacinta, así como hermosos vitrales que representan las apariciones de 1917.
El Rosario se rezará en la Capilla de las Apariciones en el Santuario de Fátima, a partir de las 9:30 p.m. en punto. Este momento de oración reúne a peregrinos de todo el mundo y marca el inicio de las celebraciones nocturnas en el Santuario. El Rosario, también conocido como la Coronilla, es una de las oraciones más importantes de la tradición católica y tiene un profundo significado en el Santuario de Fátima. Rezar el rosario es un acto de meditación y contemplación de la vida de Jesucristo y de la Virgen María, dividido en misterios que recuerdan momentos fundamentales de la fe cristiana. En Fátima, el Rosario tiene un valor aún más especial, ya que está directamente vinculado a los mensajes transmitidos por la Virgen a los tres pastorcitos. Nuestra Señora pidió repetidamente que se rezara el rosario diariamente como camino hacia la paz, la conversión y el fortalecimiento espiritual. Así, cada Ave María y cada misterio rezado se convierte en un gesto de devoción, de agradecimiento o de súplica personal.
La Procesión de las Velas comienza después del rezo del Rosario, comenzando alrededor de las 10:15 p.m. en el Área de Oración. El evento comienza con la bendición de las velas en la Capilla de las Apariciones, seguida de la salida de la imagen de Nuestra Señora de Fátima, que recorre un recorrido simbólico hasta el Santuario. La procesión dura aproximadamente entre 45 y 60 minutos, dependiendo del número de peregrinos presentes. Este ritual es uno de los más significativos en Fátima. Su significado está ligado a la luz de la fe, representada por las velas encendidas que sostienen los peregrinos, simbolizando la esperanza, la devoción y la oración. La procesión iluminada transforma el espacio en una atmósfera de profundo silencio, cantos y espiritualidad, reflejando la unidad de los fieles que acompañan a Nuestra Señora de Fátima. La Procesión de las Velas es considerada por muchos como el momento culminante de las celebraciones nocturnas del Santuario.

Francisco was a wonderful guide. It is not easy being the only solo person on a group tour but Francisco made me feel comfortable and even helped me practice my Portuguese! I recommend the evening trip because you see Fatima in the sunshine, sunset, and evening for the beautiful candlelight procession. Bring a sweater, it is cool at nite.

Visiting Fatima for the candlelight novena and procession is an extremely spiritual experience and Omar was knowledgable and kind and very fun. Even though there were some glitches like miscommunication about it not being a private tour, Douglas made up for it and despite some tardiness in arrival, Omar was a pleasure to travel with. He is a very thoughtful and wise young man and understands life very holistically. This was a very hard time for us but this team made it meaningful And worthwhile for us.
