El impresionante monasterio medieval de Alpirsbach se encuentra en una idílica extensión del valle de Kinzig, en la Selva Negra. Construido en el siglo XI por monjes benedictinos en el espíritu del movimiento reformista de Hirsau, es uno de los pocos monasterios de este tipo que quedan en el suroeste de Alemania. En lugar de visitar el monasterio por dentro, también puedes participar en una degustación gratuita de bóer después de la visita a la cervecería.
La naturaleza aquí está como en casa y se muestra en los colores y facetas más bellos. Ya sea para refrescarse en los calurosos días de verano, para disfrutar de la colorida variedad de hojas en otoño, para sumergirse en el silencio del invierno o para celebrar el despertar de la naturaleza en primavera. Mike’s communication was excellent regarding confirmation of pick up and time. The day was well planed and the activities were interesting and kept to time. Mike was informative and entertaining, he provided background and history of the area and places visited. I have no hesitation in recommending Mike and this tour.

This was a great tour. A nice mix of locations. Maik went out of his way to make sure our day was very enjoyable including taking extra time and expense to pick up a rental vehicle when the AC was out of the normal vehicle and the weather was very warm. The German snack food Maik recommended at our lake stop was very authentic and tasty. The waterfalls were a beautiful stop. Maik shared the perfect balance of history and storytelling to keep the long car ride engaging. We highly recommend this tour and Maik as your guide!

Maik gave us the option to tour Rothenburg instead of the Black Forest, due to the days of rain from the hurricane. We chose Rothenburg. It was exceptional. He planned for the rain and had umbrellas etc. for us. Many wonderful shops and beautiful historic buildings to learn about. It was a perfect day, thanks to Maik! He went above and beyond! He also helped us with a few other details with our week trip to make it as memorable as the tour was. He had wonderful stories and history to share. When time for lunch, he planned a great place with the best schnitzel ever!! Thanks for the beautiful memories! Our best to you always!

This tour is a packed day traveling - too much in one day given the distance from Frankfurt and the amount of areas included in our opinion. Nearly a 12-hour tour. We had to abbreviate the tour of the open air museum to keep on schedule. Our tour of the brewery and the sampling was cut short to keep on schedule. The initial overlook after the brewery could have been skipped once we were behind schedule. This also impacted the visit to the lake as the restaurant was closed. Another suggestion, consider taking the autobahn down as well as back in order the maintain the packed schedule.
Thanks for your review. You are right: It's a loaded day. But most guest don't want us to leave away anything and if everything works normal (especially no major traffic jam on the Autobahn) we get through our program as planned. Please understand we don't have any influence on guides at the brewery over exceeding their schedule, neither on restaurant owners closing their place without prior notice!
Mike was a fabulous guide for a day in the Black Forest giving us lots of information about the area and Germany in general. He made sure we had the full Autobahn experience since it was our first time in Germany. Mike also gave us some tips that served us well during our remaining time in Germany. I highly recommend this tour!

Maik organised an interesting and diverse tour with different activities, including a visit to the open air Museum Vogtsbauernhof to look at how farmers in the region lived, a visit to a cuckoo clock place and to Mummelsee, and some short walks through the beautiful Black Forest. We drove through a number of very picturesque vllages. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Jam packed day seeing a lot of different sites in the Black Forest. Nature walks water falls, monetary ruins, beer tasting, black forest cake our tour guide made the most of the day for us.
