Great tour with Mike. Very knowledgeable and personable. He was also flexible to customize the tour. I highly recommend this tour.
Thanks for the wonderful review and a happy new year!
It’s a very full day of touring but very worthwhile. Heidelberg is a beautiful city not to be missed. Most of the time is spent at the palace. The lunch place we went to was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend. Unfortunately, no free time to wander around the town on our own, which would’ve been nice. But considering we also go to another palace and the Mercedes Museum. It would not have been feasible. Our guide Mike was very well informed. His knowledge on the history past and present was invaluable. Although his views on women based on his comments and jokes, seem to be a little misogynistic. Nothing that would make me not take another tour with him but enough that by the end my husband and I were getting mildly annoyed. Overall, I would recommend this as a great day to get away from Frankfurt
Thank you for the good review. I am very sorry you found one category of my jokes annoying. I should have taken into consideration that you are Canadian. Unlike most US-Americans, Canadians are a bit more sensitive on topics like that. But please be 100% assured that I am everything but mysoginistic. This impression is as wrong as it can be. For third party readers: The review deals with remarks I made about the women in the GPS (means a virtual figure) oraly delivering the route information on Google maps. I linked some of what she said in a -what most people would consider funny - manner to commen STEREOTYPES about women. I was not talking about anybody real, nor did this reflect by any means my personal attitude or views on women !!!
What an awesome experience we had with Mike M. The castle was awesome, the Mercedes museum was interesting but lunch was the best Schnitzel in Germany! They also had the best Heffevizen as well.
Thank you very much for the wonderful review. I enjoyed the tour with you and I hope to see you again one day!
We had the best time on our tour with Maik! He was very knowledgeable about the sights, and he provided interesting information throughout the tour. It was so nice not having to worry about travel or prearranging tours/tickets. He had everything ready to go and made the experience seamless. We really enjoyed his lunch recommendation. He was very accommodating in picking us up from our hotel and making sure we were taken care of. We loved our tour and highly recommend it!
Thank you very much for the wonderful review. I enjoyed the tour with you and I hope to see you again one day!
Heidelberg Castle and Palace was excellent and a must visit when in Germany. This was a personalized trip and Mike our driver cum guide promptly picked us at our Hotel, and drove us to Heidelberg. Along the way he gave us a lot of info on the place. Tx to Mike's reco, we enjoyed the German food and the icecream thereafter. Book the funicular train on line to avoid long wait times. We also visited the Benz musuem in Mannheim. This was the factory where it all started, later moved to Stuttgart. Good information for car enthusiasts
Thanx a lot for the nice review. However I have to clarify one point, which can easily be misunderstood. OUR GUEST DO NOT NEED TO BOOK FUNICULAR TICKETS AT ALL, THEY ARE INCLUDED. WE DO PRE-BUY THE TICKETS AND USE A SPECIAL TOUR OPERATOR GATE, SO OUR GUESTS HAVE NO WAITING TIME, LIKE YOU DID NOT NEED TO WAIT IN LINE. It is not possible to buy the tickets online though, they need to be purchased at the ticket booth (which we do always for an entire month ahead).
Maik was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had!! He was on time to pick me up - explained our day before we started our journey and was super knowledgeable and personable He shared a wealth of knowledge about each location, site, town, city and the country. I felt very safe with his driving, well fed from his food recommendations, and would rate this experience once of the best
Thank you very much for the wonderful review. It was my pleasure and I hope to see you again, one day in the future!
This private tour might have been the highlight of our two week trip to Europe. Michael made sure that we saw everything that was of interest to us. He was able to give us so much history as we drove. We loved having lunch with Michael in a German restaurant. They know him there because he frequents the restaurant with guests. Michael went above and beyond to enter our experience was amazing!!!
Thanx for the wonderful review! Hope to see you again one day,!!!
We had an amazing trip to Heidelberg with Michael. The conversation throughout the trip was wonderful. He shared his incredible knowledge of the area history with us. He has also had vast travel experience throughout the world that gave us the opportunity to discuss many topics and relate many items back to medieval Germany. He also gave us great food and wine recommendations! We highly recommend booking a trip with Michael.
Thanks for the great review. You are a wonderful family and I certainly enjoyed the day with you!
Great personalized tour! Mika was a great guide - very attentive to our comfort and an unbelievable fountain of knowledge. Enjoy the autobahn, the town, castle, and gardens. While lunch is not included, the restaurant we went to and his menu suggestions were excellent. Highly recommend.
Thanks a lot my friend. Hope to see you again on your next trip to Germany...
It was a great day with beautiful weather. A little on the warm side if you stood in the sun too long but with an occasional breeze to help cool off. The drive to/from was comfortable in a nice vehicle. Our tour guide Mike was very informative and efficient with getting us to where we needed to be at each leg of the trip. He is easy to chat with. Lots of walking. You will enjoy this trip.
Thanks a bunch. I am happy you enjoyed. See you again on your next trip to Germany...
