Desde Faro: Cueva de Benagil, Marinha y Carvoeiro [Excursión de día completo]

This tour was awesome, definitely a highlight of our trip to Faro!! Our guide Diana was incredible, very funny and knowledgeable (also took lots of good pictures!) The itinerary of the trip was very nice as well- started by exploring some cliffs and the Benagil cave, then had lots of free time to explore Carvoeiro, grab lunch, and swim in the ocean to cool off. Then the last little bit was probably our favorite part- exploring the cliffs near Carvoeiro on the gorgeous blue ocean water and cliff jumping! 100% would recommend this trip, even if it’s hot (lots of swimming opportunities + van with AC)

This was the highlight of my 3-day trip to Faro! The tour was well organised, punctual, and showcased stunning scenery, especially the breathtaking Benagil Caves. Our guide, Diana, was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us entertained throughout. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, swam in beautiful Carvoeiro, and took a dip in the tidal pools at Algar Seco. The only minor downside was that rough seas meant we couldn’t dive into the ocean, and I would have enjoyed a slightly longer hike. Overall, an unforgettable experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Faro!

Truly an excursion to do! No downtime, everything is a highlight. I was with my 15-year-old teenager who also experienced one of the best excursions of their life!

It was nice that it was a small group, with a very knowledgeable tour guide. The two hour break in the middle of the tour was a very nice touch. The small beach town we stopped in was perfect. Lots of good food, souvenir shops and a very nice beach. The vibe in this little town was beautiful.

João Z. was our excellent tour guide. High energy and knowledgeable. There was a lot of walking and he always made sure we had enough breaks and shade when needed. Would highly recommend this tour guide and company.

What an amazing day with our knowledgeable and fun tour guide João. It was great to see the main sights and hear about the history and culture along the way. We were also given great tips for restaurants and things to do in the Algarve region. While you can’t go inside the Benagil Cave, it is still great to view it from the top. I would definitely recommend this tour.

It was an excellent trip, we saw more than we expected and our guide Diana was fantastic

I spent almost 9 hours with Diana wandering the stunning landscape outside of Faro. Bubbly personality, cordial, communicative, energetic, helpful and simply fun. We had a full van of folks that she kept corralled for the whole day, walking us up and down paths for the best photo opps. I had a few difficulties as the terrain was tough in some spots, but we adjusted and things were fine. Just a side note: beware that the “walk” they advertise is more of a 2km hike up and down hills and difficult rocky terrain and stairs. For the experienced hiker, it’s not terrible, but the heat was exhausting (zero shade, so prepare with good shoes/boots, and an umbrella). There were many stops (Marinha Beach, Benagil Cave, Carvoeiro and Algar Seco) and she did a great job driving us down the narrow streets of Portugal. Besides the scorching heat, this was a fabulous trip and a great way to see the absolutely beautiful coastline near Faro. Don’t this this one and ask for Diana! 10-stars!
