Descubriendo Monte Pellegrino

I’m a cyclist and this being a Viator cycling thing, IDK what to expect. I had my own pedals (Speedplay), Garmin 1050, and kit. Cesare got the pedals and Garmin situation in no time, and adjusted the seat height and we were off. The Wilier was a nice bike, I didn’t mind riding it. IDK about Cesare, I rode strong and we stayed together the entire ride. We stopped at the peak and at the church before enjoying a fast descent. Through Palermo, Cesare is skilled in handling traffic and congestion; for me it was fun and a thrill. It was a short ride, and a very good time. I wish it could have lasted the entire day. I loved it! 🚴🏻‍♂️ 🚴

Weather & view through out the journey to the top was great and we took many photos and videos. The bicycle was in good condition and I was very happy there was a xs size available. I had some trouble with the gears (camagnolo, I am more familiar with Shimano) initially; which Cesare helped me out a few times. There was enough gear to comfortably ascend if you have some decent fitness. I am not exposed much to elevation when riding. Cesare was very patient with me with the ascend & descend of Monte Pellegrino. He took great care of me by always turning back to see if I was still following close by. As we were riding to the top, we stopped twice for me to catch my breath and the view. The first half is hard than the second half. Overall, it’s less than 500m of elevation. Just be mindful that traffic in Palermo is pretty busy. Keep close to Cesare as your guide and it will be all good.

Cesare was wonderful! He knew exactly what bikes would be good for each one of us!! He went at our pace but kept encouraging us to make it to the top… and we’re so glad we did!! Spectacular views and a lot of laughs!!

What a fantastic morning with Cesare! He was adaptable, ready when we arrived with bikes ready to go. Took the time to make sure we were comfortable and safely guided us to the monte and up it. It was a challenging ride and he encouraged us and took regular breaks from the heat and were rewarded with fabulous views! We would highly recommend to anyone who is a regular cyclist. We would do it again!

We had such a wonderful time in the trip. It was easy to organize with Cesare and we arrived to bikes waiting and ready to go promptly. He went at our pace and took regular breaks and motivated us all the way….what an accomplishment and what a view!! We wouldn’t hesitate to do it again and recommend it to anyone who bikes regularly and is a strong biker. 👍🏻 all the way!!!

Caesar was an exceptional guide, bike partner and rental Provider for my very brief tour of Palermo in Sicily. He even agreed to start early to accomodate my schedule. Awesome ride, amazing vistas, excellent terrain and perfect views. Highly recommended!!

Cesare was brilliant, guiding me through the Palermo traffic and then leading me up the climb of Monte Pelligrino to provide spectacular views across Palermo and the surrounding coast. I was warmly welcomed at his cycle shop by Cesare and his wife. Rental bike adjusted to my requirements and then off we went. Cesare and his wife were very friendly and fitted the bike to my sizable frame easily. He guided us safely and efficiently through Palermo traffic and stayed with us on the climb and descent of Monte Pellegrino. Cesare really made the the trip enjoyable with his ability, knowledge and friendly banter.
