La Rambla de Montevideo es una avenida que recorre todo el litoral de Montevideo, Uruguay, y también la acera continua más larga del mundo. Con una longitud de más de 22,2 kilómetros ininterrumpidos, el paseo marítimo recorre el Río de la Plata y continúa por toda la costa de Montevideo.
Plaza Independencia es el nombre de la plaza más importante de Montevideo. Separa Ciudad Vieja del centro de Montevideo, con la Puerta de la Ciudadela a un lado y el inicio de la avenida 18 de Julio al otro. En el centro, el Mausoleo de Artigas domina la perspectiva.
La Avenida 18 de Julio, o Avenida 18 de Julio, es la avenida más importante de Montevideo, Uruguay. Lleva el nombre de la fecha de redacción de la primera Constitución de Uruguay: 18 de julio de 1830.
El Palacio Legislativo de Uruguay es un edificio monumental, lugar de reunión de la Asamblea General de Uruguay y sede del poder legislativo del gobierno uruguayo. Está ubicado en el barrio de Aguada en la ciudad de Montevideo.
Mercado célebre que ofrece comestibles y productos locales, tiendas de regalos, tiendas especializadas y un patio de comidas. Esta será tu primera parada.
El Parque Batlle es una zona residencial y de ocio. Su espacio verde homónimo contiene el Estadio Centenario, un icónico campo de fútbol de la selección nacional con un museo. El parque también tiene un velódromo convertido en sala de conciertos y varios monumentos conocidos, incluida La Carreta, una estatua de bronce de buey y carreta. Cerca de allí, el Obelisco de granito de Montevideo fue construido en 1930 para conmemorar el centenario de la constitución de Uruguay.
El Obelisco de Montevideo, catalogado oficialmente como Obelisco a los Constituyentes de 1830, es un monumento creado por el escultor José Luis Zorrilla de San Martín. Es un obelisco de granito de tres lados, de 40 metros de altura, con tres estatuas de bronce a los lados, que representan "Ley", "Libertad" y "Fuerza".
Estadio Centenario es un estadio en el barrio Parque Batlle de Montevideo, Uruguay, utilizado principalmente para el fútbol. El estadio fue construido entre 1929 y 1930 para albergar la primera Copa Mundial de la FIFA de 1930, así como para conmemorar el centenario de la primera constitución de Uruguay.
Esta famosa escultura está dedicada a los legendarios gauchos que crearon el impresionante mercado de ganado de Uruguay. El Monumento la Carreta se creó en honor a los carreteros del siglo XIX. La escultura de bronce y granito fue creada en 1934 y recientemente fue restaurada por el nieto del artista. Está registrado como Monumento Histórico Nacional.
El exclusivo barrio residencial de Carrasco tiene un largo tramo de playa respaldado por un elegante paseo marítimo, alrededor del cual un grupo de hoteles, bares y restaurantes forman el animado núcleo de la zona. Tierra adentro, las calles arboladas presentan una mezcla de casas bien conservadas de principios del siglo XX y tiendas de antigüedades y librerías independientes y antiguas. El Parque General Lavalleja es popular para pasear, trotar y hacer picnics junto a Carrasco Creek.
En la actualidad no funciona como mercado, pero en su interior y alrededores se han instalado numerosos restaurantes, que sirven, entre otras especialidades, el rosbif uruguayo, convirtiéndose así en un punto obligado de la visita a Montevideo.

A wonderful way to orient yourself in Montevideo. Went by the Montevideo sign for photo ops, to the historic Sofitel, the 'Beverly Hills' of Montevideo, to the soccer stadium with a stop for a beverage and all, to the Capital building, and to old town. Even extended our trip to include a ride to Bouza Winery. Our guide was knowledge and flexible. Loved it!

Making the reservation was easy and Ryan provided detailed notes about where to meet Javier and what to expect. Javier was extremely nice and knowledgable. His English was excellent. He showed us the highlights of the town and took us to a great market for lunch. We enjoyed his company so much, we asked him to join us. The vehicle was clean and spacious with pently of room for luggage & comfort. Both Ryan & Javier gave us great recommendations for dinner & evening activities which we followed and had an incredible evening based on their recommendations. I would highly recommend these services.

The history explanation was excellent, Miguel had a very good knowledge of the history of Montivideo. It is a really pretty city lots of beautiful tree lined streets. There wasn't actually a lot to see but we enjoyed it anyway. Miguel was very polite and responsive to any questions we asked. We saw other tours which had a lot of guests and were glad that we booked the private tour instead of a group one

I reached out to this company to see if they could accommodate a service on the dates that I will be in Uruguay. While they did not have anything that fit my schedule, Ryan was extremely helpful with providing information that allowed me to identify a self-guided option that would suit my needs. I'm extremely picky, and I can say without any hesitation that his customer service was SUPERB!! A really excellent experience. From the time of booking Ryan gave us a load of tips for Montevideo and the surrounding area and connected us with our guide for the day - Dario. Dario is a local expert! There’s nothing he doesn’t know about Uruguay or Montevideo and really helped us understand the history of the country, from pre-Colombian, through Spanish and Portuguese colonisation, independence, and the modern day with current issues thrown in. Dario is really passionate (he’s written a guidebook and hosted a radio show on tourism in Uruguay!) which is really contagious. Both Ryan and Dario have given us more tips (including restaurants, museums, and wine) for the rest of our trip, including Buenos Aires. Really great experience.
