Falcon runs an excellent tour that lets you visit some of the popular but more distant tourist sites in Qatar. Pickup was on-time from our hotel and throughout the day, we were given great flexibility with as much or as little time as we wanted at each of the locations. Our guide, Junaid, provided plenty of knowledge about Doha itself as we left the city as well as cultural and regional information throughout the entire day, answering any and all questions that we had. He had great humor all day long and took great pictures for us, making the tour very memorable and enjoyable. We’ll definitely have to try Falcon’s other tours on a return visit to Doha in the future.
Asim was an incredible tour guide! He took us to the mangroves, the Richard Serra installation, camel racing grounds, the beach, and the historic fort — and made every stop interesting and meaningful. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and paced the day perfectly. We felt comfortable, welcomed, and never rushed. His explanations added so much depth to each place, and he answered all our questions with patience and insight. If you’re visiting Qatar, ask for Asim — he truly made the experience unforgettable!
Asim was an awesome tour guide! We called him Awesome Asim! He was punctual to pick us up and made it very easy to find him. He is knowledgeable, kind and friendly and shared a wealth of great information with us. He planned the tour well and efficiently and made every minute enjoyable. He made sure to take photos for us and took some fun shots. Do not hesitate to book this tour and be sure to ask for Asim!
Our guide Junaid was amazing. So knowledgeable, interesting and funny. If we wanted to do additional things this was no problem. Highly recommend the guide and the tour itself. Especially the camel training area.
We had a fantastic day seeing many of Qatar’s sights outside of Doha. Our driver/guide Junaid was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We loved Al Zubara Fort, the desert rock formations and especially for me Richard Serra’s East-West/West-East art installation in the Zekreet desert, which had been influential in our decision to spend a few days in Qatar. As it happened there was a bit of a sandstorm, but this made the vista of the four towering steel plates more atmospheric as their bases were hidden in the dust and they seemed to be floating over the desert. Recommended.
The tour was very good and gave us a view of Qatar that we were not aware. Desert, Fort and the Camel track are the attractions we liked more
We were very satisfied with this tour. It provided a good and honest overview of the land – there’s no point in expecting flamingos in the desert or lush mangroves. For the desert people, camels are and remain a matter of pride :) I have seen only a fraction of the number of camels we saw at the end of the tour – truly impressive. Camels play an important role in the region’s identity and history (today for a different purpose than historically, but still significant). The tour gave us a great overview of the extremes of the country – from towering skyscrapers to endless desert emptiness. I would highlight that how much you get out of the tour depends on how much you ask. Overall, it was an excellent introduction to life in a country that is just beginning to be discovered by tourists. Thank you, Amir!
My private tour with Junaid was everything I was hoping for. I love the freedom to go at my own pace with a knowledgeable guide. It was a good mix of learning about & seeing & experiencing some bits of local/everyday life outside of Doha in smaller towns (e.g., fish market, a camel race, a chicken shawarma & milk tea from an ordinary cafeteria), history (e.g., the fortress) and seeing natural vistas (e.g., mangroves, unusual rock formations) and even Richard Serra's contemporary art. Junaid was personable and made sure to just ask throughout the tour whether I was comfortable, needed water/the restroom, etc. It was nice to hear about his own experience as someone born & raised in Qatar as well. Thank you for a wonderful 1st full day in Qatar, Junaid!
Our guide Junaid was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. It was great to see the countryside outside of the main city area. Recommend the tour and Junaid.
We did this private Culture & History Tour today with our family, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our driver and guide Junaid was absolutely excellent – very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He made us feel comfortable throughout the whole tour and explained the history and culture of Qatar in an interesting and easy-to-understand way. He was also very patient with our family and always made sure we had enough time at each stop. The itinerary was well planned, the car was clean and comfortable, and the locations were fascinating. This tour was a great way to learn more about Qatar beyond Doha. We truly enjoyed the experience and can highly recommend this tour, especially with Junaid as your driver. Thank you for a memorable day!
