El punto de partida se encuentra frente al Centro de información turística de Bosnia, situado en la calle peatonal principal Ferhadija, justo al lado del "Encuentro de culturas de Sarajevo".
La mezquita de Gazi Husrev-Bey se construyó en 1530/31 al estilo de Estambul y es el edificio central del waqf de Gazy Husrev-bey (fundación de beneficencia). La cúpula de la mezquita es de 23 m de altura y el minarete es de 45 m. La mezquita histórica más grande de B&H y es la primera mezquita en el mundo iluminada por electricidad.
Morica Han (caravanserai) fue construida originalmente en 1551 y pertenece a la dotación de Gazi Husrev-bey (wakf). Se quemó en 1957 y se restauró 1971-74. Tenía 44 habitaciones con capacidad para 300 personas y 70 caballos. Morica Han es el único caravasar superviviente en Sarajevo.
El Sebilj es una fuente de piedra y madera neo-otomana en el centro de Bascarsia. El primer Sebilj fue construido por Mehmed Pasa Kukavica en 1753, pero fue trasladado por el arquitecto austriaco Alexander Wittek en 1891. La ubicación alrededor de Sebilj también se conoce como "Plaza de las palomas".

The tour was informative and we visited lots of interesting spots. I do wish the balance between historical facts/stories and current day recommendations for places to buy souvenirs, food, cotton, ice cream etc. was skewed a little bit more towards history, but that may just be a personal preference!
