Jama Masjid en Delhi es la mezquita más grande de la India, construida por el emperador mogol Shah Jahan entre 1644 y 1656. Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib conmemora el martirio de 1675 del noveno gurú sij, Guru Tegh Bahadur, que fue decapitado por orden del emperador mogol Aurangzeb en Chandni Chowk por negarse a convertirse al Islam. El gurudwara fue construido por el líder sij Baghel Singh en 1783 en el lugar exacto de su ejecución, que eligió para defender la libertad religiosa de los pandits de Cachemira. El nombre "Sis Ganj" se traduce como "el lugar donde se cortó la cabeza".
La Puerta de la India es un monumento de guerra en Nueva Delhi, diseñado por Sir Edwin Lutyens, que conmemora a los soldados indios que murieron en la Primera Guerra Mundial y la Tercera Guerra Anglo-afgana. La estructura de 42 metros de altura está construida con piedra arenisca roja y amarilla y tiene los nombres de miles de soldados inscritos en sus paredes. We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour through Old Delhi. Zubair was a fantastic host and showed us the best & safest spots to try delicious Indian street food as new tourists to India. He was very knowledgeable not just about the food, also gave us some great advice about the area. Everything was on time, from hotel pick up and drop off, to the dedicated Tuktuk driver that navigated us through the markets. Highly recommend.
I paid for a 6hr x 85euro package for two people. But it was only 3, with "gift of a while more", ironic. I figured it could happen, but not that more than half my package would be taken. I know I asked the company for a change of schedule and they agreed, I appreciate that. But if he couldn't keep the package, he should have warned me. I paid 85euros for almost 3h, and for its street tasting which was a simple massala chai (delicious despite everything). You can't call that a street tasting. The guide (an employee) was not told the type of package he had to show us, he taught us super little. Okay, but we thought it was short and fast for so much money. During his guide he asked us and asked us to comment on the platform we made the reservation, he insisted and insisted. He even told us that if we didn't, he wasn't getting paid... I didn't like it at all. The price was too much for almost 3h. 85€ !!!, instead of 6h!! Even though I must accept that the guide gave us another time because he saw that it was unfair what was happening to us. I guess he got paid for his nearly 3 hours more. But, the insistence on the comment before the end of the visit was very rare. It kind of smelled like a weird situation. By the way your visit to the Indian Bloom is really a visit in which they want to sell you things at super expensive price. We just walk in and out. At the end of the message I wrote to him about his scam tasting, he didn’t even know about it because he asked me what I was talking about. This is the organizer. The guide was fine. Only the visit knowing that it was 6 h and not almost 3 I felt like I was going fast. I even asked him for a little time to enjoy the place, because we were going, I mean we were moving forward... Well, I thought it was too much money for almost nothing. Apparently 6h are many as tour with guide even for guides. Even in 6h the visit would have been better, more detailed and with more time to enjoy each place... I don't recommend anything. The company must be better organized. Be aware of what they offer and that when they offer it they are well aware and comply
