What a treat to see so many religious and historic sights in such a short period of time on our first day in Delhi. Our time was narrated by a knowledgeable guide pastor VJ who shared a spectrum of the religious landscape of Delhi through some of the most significant religious sites while interacting and sharing his own life experience in a fun and personable way. What a pleasure it was and I highly recommend Freedom Journey. They were also highly professional with responsive communication and provided airport pickup service for us as well. This Delhi Temple Tour was the first thing we did upon arriving in Delhi. Vijay our guide picked up our group and got us place to place very smoothly. He was so knowledgable and engaging explaining the practices, beliefs and culture of each site. On the bus he shared stories from his own life and faith. We found the day went by so fast and included a great place to enjoy our lunch.

VJ’s tour was amazing. He is so so knowledgeable about Hinduism, their practices, beliefs, and culture . He shares from his own life stories as well. And will answer any question with great insight. Our group joined Vijay for the New Delhi Temple Tour in January 2020 on our first day in India. It was an incredible immersion experience made all the more meaningful by our knowledgeable guide, Vijay, who prepared us for what to expect at each stop and debriefed each one with us as well. Each site has very different requirements: shoes/no shoes, head cover for all or just women, photos/no photos, check bags/phones, etc. Vijay patiently guided us through each stop and helped us process our experience along the way. Vijay took us to us different places of worship and respectfully explained the values of each. As an insider of the culture, he was able to get us into places that we never would have gotten into or understood without his accompanying us. Appreciated his sensitivity to getting us into a restaurant that works with foreigners stomachs. Our one day tour with Vijay will be most memorable of the trip because he shared his life story - from taxi driver to passionate follower of God.

What a wonderful way to get to know the diverse and complex spirituality of India. Our tour host, V, was a wealth of knowledge and a gifted story-teller. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the soul of India, and who wants to make a friend in the process. :-)

Wow, our tour host, V, was informative and personable. He kindly and clearly answered many questions that the excellent insider tour raised for me. Even better, understanding his personal journey and experiences brought India up- close and personal. The variety of sites we experienced was terrific, and the pace was good, in the comfort of a bus. Plus, we had a good and comfortable lunch! Seeing diverse Indian culture through the lens of this tour was very helpful to me as an American Christian. My thoughts and questions were valued and understood well by our guide.
