¡Prepárate para una experiencia inolvidable! Nuestro recorrido comenzará en Messina, la antigua "puerta de Sicilia", donde la historia y la modernidad, las leyendas y las tradiciones, la resiliencia y la belleza se mezclan. Después de nuestro encuentro, caminando por la pintoresca carretera que bordea el puerto en forma de hoz, se puede admirar la estatua de la Madonna della Lettera, la protectora de Messina que da la bienvenida a todos los que llegan por mar. Desde aquí comenzaremos nuestro recorrido hacia dos joyas de nuestro territorio: Castelmola y Taormina.
Nuestra primera parada será el encantador pueblo medieval de Castelmola, situado en una colina con vistas panorámicas. Castelmola, que antaño albergó un antiguo castillo normando, es hoy conocida por albergar uno de los bares más singulares del mundo: ¡el Bar Turrisi! Un auténtico monumento siciliano conocido por su mobiliario único. Aquí haremos una pausa para explorar el significado cultural de las icónicas formas fálicas utilizadas como decoración de bares. Lejos de ser vulgares, son un vivo tributo a la cultura griega antigua, que simboliza la esencia misma de la libertad, la fertilidad y la vida. Este es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de una copa del famoso vino de almendras junto con unos deliciosos cannoli sicilianos.
Nuestro viaje continuará con el descenso hacia la renombrada "perla del Mediterráneo": Taormina. Entrando por el histórico arco de Porta Catania. Te sumergirás en el rico pasado de la ciudad, explorando el espectacular anfiteatro grecorromano (el precio de la entrada no está incluido en la visita), una obra maestra de la ingeniería antigua con impresionantes vistas del monte Etna y el mar, y luego te dirigirás al espléndido y mágico Jardín Público Lady Florece Trevelyan. Después, paseando por el Corso Umberto, la animada calle principal y antiguo decumano, estarás rodeado de elegantes boutiques, animados cafés, callejuelas pintorescas y edificios históricos que conservan la verdadera esencia de la ciudad. Finalmente, nos dirigiremos a un punto estratégico y único para admirar y fotografiar la impresionante vista de la icónica Isola Bella, dejándoles un recuerdo imborrable e inolvidable de nuestra hermosa tierra.
Tras nuestra visita a Taormina, regresaremos a Messina, donde, si el tiempo y la energía lo permiten, podrá admirar el centro histórico de la ciudad y, en particular, el campanario del Duomo, que alberga uno de los relojes mecánicos y astronómicos más grandes y complejos de Europa. Al final del día, te llevaremos de vuelta al punto de partida, esperando que hayas tenido un día emocionante con nosotros.

Lugares y horarios de recogida
A su llegada al puerto de Messina, los viajeros serán recibidos en la Puerta 5. Uno de nuestros conductores estará allí para darles la bienvenida con un cartel con su nombre. Los horarios de inicio y finalización del tour deberán acordarse con al menos 24 horas de anticipación en función de los horarios de llegada y salida del crucero.

We had a wonderful time going to Taormina with Alessandro, the ride was perfect and he showed us the best places in Messina as well even a traditional Lemonade spot. Would highly recommend!!
We had a perfect day! We docked in the port of Messina and spent the day with Alessandro and Marisa. They could not have been more accommodating. They explained everything and had so much patience with us. It felt like we were hanging out with friends and family. This has been the highlight of our trip. We had the absolute best time in Sicily thanks to Alessandro, Marisa and Massimo! Marisa and Massimo took us to Taormina, Castelmola, and a last minute beach stop to swim. As we drove we learned wonderful things about our surroundings and the history of each stop. We enjoyed sampling the special food and drink of Castelmola and Taormina--each recommendation and offering by Marisa was amazing and delicious! Marisa took us on a walking tour through Castelmola and Taormina and it felt like a special time of learning from an old friend. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with them both! And as a special bonus, Marisa sent me pictures afterward that were the best pictures of my husband and me from our entire trip! She is a gifted photographer too! You will not regret spending the day with Marisa and Massimo!
We just had a lovely day with Alessandro in Sicily today. He collected us from our cruise ship in Messina and took us to Taormina. Showing us sights along the way. He was waiting for us well before we docked. He kept in contact with us when we had free time so we never had to worry about a thing. He was professional and really knows his way around Sicily. I would not hesitate to recommend him and we will certainly call on him again if we are in Sicily. Thank you Alessandro!!

Marisa from Booking Sicily Yours was absolutely amazing. The pick up from our cruise ship was seamless. Right there at the end of the pier. Communication was also excellent. We got on a very spacious air conditioned van. Marisa brought us to Castelmola as our first stop with views of the smoking Mountain Etna. So cool. We went to a very “unique” bar where we tasted cannolis and “shots.” The views were amazing but be prepared to walk up hills and steps to get there. We then headed to Taormina which had amazing shopping and even better restaurants. We had plenty of time there. Marisa gave us a lot of information, made sure we were all comfortable, always made sure she did what the group wanted and even gave us a little keepsake at the end of the trip. We were back to the ship in plenty of time. What a great day in Sicily. We would recommend this trip to anyone (as long as you are good with a lot of walking).

We booked our trip after seeing great reviews for Alessandro. They were not wrong ..from start to finish he and Marisa were excellent. My mother needs a wheelchair to get around and they insisted on pushing her and took their time with her. Marisa was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of facts and history but more than that she was so lovely and it was so easy to get on with her. I cannot say enough good things about them both and would thoroughly recommend anyone to book with them.
