Ostia Antica es un gran yacimiento arqueológico, cerca del suburbio moderno de Ostia (Roma). En la desembocadura del río Tíber, Ostia era el puerto marítimo de Roma. Se destaca por la excelente conservación de sus edificios antiguos, magníficos frescos e impresionantes mosaicos. Si desea pasar una agradable mañana de gira fuera de Roma esta es una muy buena opción. Para reservas de última hora (menos de 30 días) nos reservamos el derecho de ofrecerle alternativas o cancelaciones gratuitas si no podemos llevar a cabo el servicio como se describe.

Este tour privado se centra en la importancia de Ostia durante el imperio romano. Ostia Antica es un gran sitio arqueológico, cerca del moderno suburbio de Ostia (Roma). "Ostia" en latín significa "boca", de hecho, la ciudad se encuentra en la desembocadura del río Tíber. Se encuentra a aproximadamente 30 km al noreste, y en la antigüedad solía ser el puerto de la antigua Roma. Como dijimos antes, Ostia Antica era el puerto marítimo de Roma, pero debido a la sedimentación y una caída en el nivel del mar, el sitio ahora se encuentra a 3 km del mar. El sitio es conocido por la excelente conservación de sus antiguos edificios, magníficos frescos y impresionantes mosaicos.

Seeing how everyday people lived was amazing. The kitchens/restaurant and baths we're incredible. A great site if you love history. Guide was informative and driver pointed out sites of interest on the way. If you go in the summer bring water, hats, and wear sunscreen - you'll need it.

I highly recommend this trip to any history enthusiast. Ostia is amazing and so much bigger than I imagined. You will experience the actual complete city, not just one house or temple.
