Nuestro recorrido comenzará conduciendo durante un par de horas a través de la montaña Atlas, con algunas paradas en el camino: la primera parada es para ver algunas "cabras voladoras". trepando a los árboles de argán en busca de nueces frescas. La segunda parada es para relajarse y tomar un café en un pueblo bereber. Tercera parada para visitar la fábrica de Aceite de Argán. Una vez que lleguemos a Essaouira, tendrá su tiempo libre para visitar el zoco que se encuentra dentro de la Medina. Y haz un recorrido por las murallas de la Kasbah y Scala, donde conocerás las murallas de la Scala, el puerto de Essaouira, el mercado municipal, las joyerías de barrio y el complejo artesanal.
La Sqala du Port fue construida en 1769, bajo las órdenes del sultán Mohammed Ben Abdellah, de la dinastía alauita. El Castelo Real estaba allí, y fue destruido para la construcción del puerto de Essaouira y sus murallas. Las piedras del antiguo Castelo Real se utilizaron para la construcción de la Sqala du Port2. Participó en la defensa de la ciudad durante el bombardeo de Mogador operado por Francia, en el marco de la guerra franco-marroquí3. Ha sido clasificado como monumento histórico desde el dahir del 30 de agosto de 19241.
El Puerto de Essaouira es un importante puerto pesquero tradicional e histórico del siglo XVIII, en Essaouira, en el Océano Atlántico, Marruecos1. Antiguo y pintoresco puerto pesquero tradicional, el más renombrado del país2, es uno de los 14 principales puertos pesqueros de Marruecos, y es uno de los lugares de referencia para el turismo en Marruecos, con sus playas y su cercana Medina fortificada de Essaouira en la borde del océano, catalogado como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO3.
Las murallas de Essaouira son una parte importante de la historia de Essaouira, una ciudad marítima marroquí a orillas del Océano Atlántico. Fue en 1506 cuando los portugueses construyeron las primeras murallas de la ciudad, entonces llamada Mogador, que se consideraba un lugar estratégico importante. Además de estas murallas, también se construyó un puerto, Mogador se convirtió entonces en un puesto comercial clave para los portugueses. La construcción de la Fortaleza, llamada Castelo Real por los portugueses, y sus murallas tienen como objetivo principal protegerse de las invasiones extranjeras, siendo la ciudad demasiado vulnerable sin ellas. Así, las murallas permitieron repeler los sucesivos ataques a la ciudad por parte de españoles, ingleses, holandeses y franceses. Estas murallas, así como el Castelo Real, serán destruidas en el siglo XVIII por Mohamed III, el sultán marroquí de la época.

Great safe driver on the winding roads up the coast. I was pleased I'd taken an anti-sickness tablet prior to setting off though. We had the same guide as the Marrakech trip (Abdullah) so there was some repetition of information on the bus. At least a smaller number of people this time. We had a stop off at a petrol station for WC (take your own paper or you will have to pay for it). Then we stopped at an argan oil women's co-operative which was a very slick operation. The centre of Essaouria was beautiful and easy to navigate. We had a basic guided tour through the medina and souk and were allowed 10 mins on the city walls. We would have preferred to then have been given free time to find our own lunch and have a wander around as so many lovely little eateries in the town but we were herded without any choice into the worst touristy restaurant and expected to eat a full meal. We then realised half the people had disappeared to do their own thing! I strongly suggest you remove what comes across as an obligatory lunch from this tour.

Our tour guide Abdul may looked very traditional but he was very cool. We learned a lot about Essaouira, it’s history and culture. The drive was a bit long around 6 hours in total. Wear good shoes and be prepared with unpleasant smell in some places included in the tour.

A city worth seeing. Picked up from the hotel on time in the morning, a total of 12 hours on the road with a pleasant rhythm of breaks. Tour guide with just the right amount of information on the way and during the city tour, not too much and not too little, easy to understand in French, English and German. Of course there was also a stop on the topic of argan oil, but nothing was pushy. I would have liked more free time for my own discoveries and photos, unfortunately I went to eat at the recommended restaurant. The food was good, the price was reasonable, but it took 1.5 hours, so there was only 30 minutes of free time. A shame, but a reason to come back?!

I was excited about this trip, the journey was shorter than to Marrakesh, in the morning the coordinator arrived at the hotel for us and loaded us into a Škoda Superb (nice to drive a Czech car in Morocco) and took us to the other side of the city, where we changed to a minibus. The journey went quickly and behind me is the old city of Medina - more picturesque and above all cleaner and less dusty than Marrakesh. Next, a tour of the fortress, walls and port. Again a tour of the inside of a classic house, lunch was also with a beautiful view, and shopping is much cheaper than Marrakesh and Agadir, although I was able to bargain hard and I heard from three merchants at the closing of the shop that it is very difficult to trade with seeds - plus one in Marrakesh, he told me that I was rich and that I was robbing him, and after handing over the goods and money, he angrily left the store. Again, the price from Beach Tours is great and much better than with a travel card. I can only recommend, and if someone chooses from several trips, I would rather go to Essaouira than to Marrakech.
