Excursión de un día DOKA Coffee Plantations & La paz Waterfall Gardens

• Permítanos llevarlo a una plantación de café real, experimentar y ver cómo es la técnica para producir este importante grano. Posteriormente nos dirigiremos a uno de los lugares más visitados de Costa Rica (La Paz Waterfall Gardens). La cascada se encuentra inmediatamente al lado de la carretera que desde Alajuela conduce a los llanos del norte de Costa Rica. El río La Paz forma la cascada después de atravesar 8 kilómetros (5 millas) de terreno volcánico, y luego continúa a través de la selva tropical del lado oriental del Volcán Poás. Un corto sendero conduce detrás de la cascada, donde se encontraba un pequeño santuario. Aguas arriba de la cascada se encuentran los Jardines de la Cascada de La Paz, un parque donde los visitantes pueden observar muchas especies diferentes de vida silvestre local.

Itinerario
Después del recorrido por el café, continuaremos hacia el Jardín de la Catarata del Agua de La Paz para un delicioso almuerzo y recorrido. Cuando lleguemos a La Paz, caminaremos por un sendero que conduce a una espectacular cascada en medio de la selva tropical. Dentro del parque también visitaremos la galería de colibríes, el serpentario, la casa de pájaros, el jardín de mariposas y la exhibición de ranas. La exhibición de gatos de la selva es otra atracción en el Jardín de las Cataratas de La Paz. Los gatos de la jungla permanecen en cautiverio porque no pueden volver a ser liberados en la naturaleza: la mayoría de ellos eran viejos, estaban heridos o estuvieron expuestos a los humanos durante demasiado tiempo. Durante el recorrido, puede observarlos y aprender mucho sobre las especies felinas en Costa Rica.
En este lugar visitará una verdadera plantación de café, el guía le explicará sobre el proceso, la siembra y la cosecha del grano de oro.

Lugares y horarios de recogida
Los viajeros serán recogidos en el lobby del hotel. El horario de recogida publicado es para hoteles ubicados en el centro de San José. Si su hotel o punto de recogida se encuentra en Escazú, Santa Ana, Belén Heredia o Alajuela, la hora será diferente y le indicaremos la hora más exacta exactamente 24 horas después de la fecha del tour.

Excellent experience. Nelson is a great guide who seeks the best for the clients, prioritizing comfort and maximizing the tour. In my case, he was even a photographer. The tour itself is lovely; I was lucky to go in May when there weren't so many people. The estate and the park are wonderful; I hope to return with my family in the future. However, being a woman and traveling alone, I felt very comfortable and safe the entire time. I highly recommend it.

The tour and guide was excellent But, THEY STOPPED AT A SHOP (strawberry shop) We were encouraged to support the locals so we purchased three bottles of the rum pineapple. They packed it and told us IF WE DO NOT OPEN IT we can take it on the flight with us. That was bad information at the airport they took all three boxed bottles a waste of money. If we had known we would not be able to take it with us, we could have at least enjoyed a little of it at the hotel. We were advised by the guide and the shop operators. That we could fly with it. DO NOT MISS LEAD YOUR CUSTOMERS TO MAKE MORE MONEY. THAT MAKES YOUR COMPANY LOOK BAD. We spent $100. USD THAT WENT TO THE GARBAGE.
We sincerely apologize for the incident you experienced at the airport with the bottles purchased during your tour. We completely understand your frustration regarding the loss of your money and the disappointment this caused at the end of your trip. We would like to clarify that the information provided by our guide and the shop is correct in the sense that it is permitted to fly with liquor bottles, provided they are transported in your checked luggage (the bags that go in the airplane's cargo hold). Unfortunately, international airport security regulations prohibit carrying containers with more than 100 ml of liquid in carry on bags or backpacks, regardless of whether they are unopened or sealed. Our intention is never to mislead our customers for financial gain; on the contrary, we genuinely promote supporting local businesses. We deeply regret that there wasn't enough emphasis on the fact that these bottles had to be placed in your checked suitcase. Thank you!
Our guide Harlem has made our day trip an unforgettable experience. We were lucky and got a private tour just for our family. Harlem has imparted a lot of knowledge and looked after us with a lot of joy and fun. My highlights were the proximity to toucans, hummingbirds and butterflies. Likewise, the waterfalls were a dream, as you could stand right next to the rushing water. I highly recommend this trip for a stay in San Jose.

We stayed a day in San Jose as we had an early flight the next day to LA we didn’t think we do that much to do here So we booked this excursion and it was fantastic We had a great tour of how coffee is made, and the waterfalls and preserve was absolutely stun. We would’ve never known about this. Have we not booked it our tour guide. Mauricio was so knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. It made for an absolutely fantastic day.

Awesome tour. Pickup by our guide Arturo in a nice clean comfortable vehicle. Arturo so professional and knowledgeable. First stop Doka Estate, for a simple local breakfast. We received an interesting coffee tour from start to finish. Plantation was so nice. We received just enough info not to overwhelm us. Next up La Paz. Again, so much to see and tour. Fantastic extensive lunch buffet was served. Ample restroom breaks, much appreciated. First class tour company. Recommend

We had an amazing experience on the Day Trip to La Paz Waterfall Gardens & Doka Coffee Plantations in Costa Rica! Our guides, Oscar and Ricardo, were absolutely fantastic—they were knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make the trip memorable for our family. The tour itself was well-paced, with plenty of time to enjoy the breathtaking waterfalls and explore the lush gardens. The visit to the Doka Coffee Plantation was a highlight as well—we learned so much about the coffee-making process and even got to taste some delicious coffee. What an amazing and awe inspiring trip. We booked through Tan Feet online and enjoyed it immensely. The Doka Coffee Plantation was a great tour, source of information and breakfast was provided. Delicious! The Waterfall tour and habitat was so vibrant and unique. They provided us with lunch that was so yum! And the Arenal Volcano!!! What a sight to trek through and enjoy.
