Descripción
Este programa ofrece trekking duro pero inmensamente gratificante a lo largo de la cresta que cae en las llanuras muy por debajo. No es solo el paisaje (y la altitud) lo que te dejará sin palabras, sino también la emoción de sentarte entre un grupo de monos gelada, o ver la magnífica walia ibex justamente en las repisas de roca.

Itinerario
Nos veremos por la mañana en el aeropuerto de Gondar o en su hotel en Gondar. Conduzca desde Gondar a Debark, que es la ciudad sede del parque nacional. Nos detendremos aquí para obtener un permiso para ingresar al parque y conocer al explorador. Tendremos un descanso para tomar té y café y visitar el mercado local si tenemos tiempo. El mercado local está abierto todos los días, y todos los miércoles y sábados es el gran día del mercado. Desde la ciudad de Debark, conduciremos hasta la puerta del parque, que está a unos 16 km de la ciudad. Luego, nos dirigimos a unos 6 km a Buit Ras, la primera área del parque nacional. Desde Buit Ras, caminaremos durante aproximadamente 3, 4 horas hasta Chilkuwanit, que es uno de los miradores más bellos. Esta área ofrece impresionantes vistas sobre el acantilado que cae verticalmente. Seguramente te encontrarás con tropas de los babuinos endémicos de Gelada y los verás de cerca. También puede ver chacal común, klipspringer y más. Hay muchas aves como Cuervo de pico grueso, Augar Buzard, Black Kites, Lammergeyer y diferentes especies de plantas como Abyssinian Rose, Erica Arboria tree, Euphorbia Species, St. Johns Worttree (Hypercumrevoltum), etc. Nuestro auto lo recogerá en Chilkuwanit y lo conducirá a Gondar

Due to the conflict in Amhara region, this tour as not possible in the natural park. And I understand that but I should have been informed in advance in order to be able to cancel the tour without penalty. They decided to make the tour in the beginning of the mountain range which is 20-30 km from Gondar. No park fees were needed. We were back at lunch time, which means the tour provided was not full day. Lunch was also not offered, I had to pay myself. This means that I paid a very high price for tour provided. after reporting the experience, I was provided with a partial refund, which I appreciate. So I recommend tourists to get informed about the security of the region and the feasibility of conducting the tour before booking.
The mountain trip with Tevan was great. Everything was very well organized. Tevan took care of every detail, he was a great tour guide with a lot of experience, knowledge and humor. I wholeheartedly recommend trips with Tevan.
What a WONDERFUL experience it was! Booking on Viator was a breeze and after that I believe my tour was organized by Ethio Travel and Tour (ETT) via the agent Malese, but executed by Simien Eco Tours, who provided the AWD vehicle (Toyota Landcruiser), the excellent/super prudent driver and the tour guide Amare (hopefully that’s the correct spelling). From a punctual pick up at our hotel to the drive up to meet the guide (and the friendly scout) and the tour/hike itself on the mountain, everything was handled with care by the team. Amare (the guide) was very professional, caring, knowledgeable and took the whole experience to a higher level by providing an overall phenomenal service. We saw animals, hiked, had lunch across from this enormous waterfall and gained knowledge on the wildlife and other curiosities about the area and Ethiopia overall. 10/10 experience that we’ll never forget! Can’t recommend it enough!
