Una obra maestra compleja del diseño de ingeniería de riego, los jardines acuáticos ingeniosamente diseñados de Sigiriya requerían una planificación estructural muy por delante de su tiempo.
Un lugar de peregrinaje sagrado durante 22 siglos, este monasterio de cuevas, con sus cinco santuarios, es el complejo de templos-cuevas más grande y mejor conservado de Sri Lanka. Las pinturas murales budistas (con una superficie de 2.100 m2) son de especial importancia, al igual que las 157 estatuas.
Cerca de la carretera principal que atraviesa Matale, el templo hindú Muthumariamman es una estructura alta y exuberantemente decorada que se puede ver fácilmente desde lejos. Las torres prominentes, llamadas Gopurams, cuentan con cientos de esculturas detalladas, en un rico mosaico de color. Estas estructuras de Gopurams se pueden ver en otros templos hindúes de la isla, así como en el sur de la India.

Our experience was way beyond our expectations. Guide Irfan was perfectly on time and drove very well and safely. He was very informative and his English excellent. Every part of the tour was first class. We saw over 40 elephants including babies and tusked males. Sigiriya rock was challenging but so rewarding. Bambulla Temple was also very interesting. Lunch was delicious local food. I’m looking for something I didn’t like but am unable. Also the guides for each sight were terrific, particularly the elephant park guide as he was so successful at finding so many wonderful animals.
Ifran picked us up as planned in a clean, comfy car. Knowledgeable, Ifran shared local knowledge on the journey and at the different sites. He always checked if we needed anything or want to stop at other locations. I highly recommend this trip and company.

The guide, IRFAN, was very courteous and enthusiastic and very helpful in understanding English. I was tired after climbing Sigiriya Rock, so it was great to be able to skip places to go according to our request and be flexible! There are many places to go and the time is just in time, so you need to be physically strong enough to climb Sigiriya Rock crisply. It's better to find out how much cash you need before you go, as admission is not included.
Highly recommend Irfan and this tour. He was punctual, friendly, respectful and very informative with teaching us about Sri Lankan culture, religion and various cites on the way to each site. Thoroughly enjoyed Lion Rock, Dambulla Cave Temples and the Spice Garden (amazing). A must see when in Kandy
