A great hike for those who don't want to camp overnight. Beautiful views of the volcanos and surrounding land! Our guide was very friendly and fun.
Very friendly and pleasant driver and guide! Great trip all together. Make sure you are ready for a steep climb (or to hire a course to ride 😉).
I have to share very bad experience with the hike today----The guide stopped at the base of the volcano rather than taking us to the point with the Guatemalan flag and pizza store. It was there that he gave of 3 marshmallows to roast using a campfire and turned right back. Most review pictured the flag and pizza Pacaya which we did not get to see on our tour!!!! Avoid this company at any cost!!!

Cesar was a good guide, also our driver told us a lot about Guatemala on our way there. The hike was a bit challenging, but manageable and during the hike we got to learn more about the country than just the volcano. We did not see the lava but in was interesting nevertheless.
We had a great trip. Our guide, Cesar, was very attentive, knowledgable and great with kids. We would go again in a heartbeat!
We had an amazing time on this hike. We booked the morning session and had incredible views. Our driver, Marlon and guide, Cesear made the trip extra special with conversation and information about Pacaya and Guatemala in general. We highly recommend!
It was a very well-planned experience. The driver picked us up on time and had all the supplies we needed- trekking pole (note: take it, it makes the trip much easier), a generous amount of food/snacks, and water/drinks. The guide took us up was friendly, experienced, and he really knew the route by heart. I'd highly recommend wearing hiking boots to save you from tripping all over the steep hills. With a small group (it was just me and my husband that day), you could take a break whenever you needed, which made it much more doable. It's an experience of a lifetime!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience on the volcano today. Our driver picked us up promptly and we had a luxurious trip to the drop off point. Our guide was incredibly kind and we shared a lot of stories together.
Excellent day!! Marlon was a great driver with so much information on the history & towns we drove through to get to Pacaya. The hike up with Dylan was great - very patient as we needed some extra breaks. Very knowledgeable of the area. Overall great day with this crew!!
This tour provided a good way to learn about the hidden Guatemala while also seeing some of the beauty of the landscape. our driver, Marlon (just like Marlon Brando, who he was named after) did a terrific job and gave us real insight into what it was like to live among the Mayan according to their rules he also did a great job of speaking slowly, and explaining the words that I did not understand (I wanted him to speak in Spanish to help my Spanish.) once we got to Pacaya we met our guide, Cesar and his son, Matthew. They were the highlight of the tour. Cesar is extremely open about his life and was a very warm and interesting person. His son Matthew was completely charming. I highly recommend this tour if you want to avoid the crowds of Acatenango and learn more about the people of Guatemala while also seeing some of the most beautiful volcanoes without crowds.
