Los impresionantes Alpes Japoneses se extienden desde el Océano Pacífico hasta el Mar de Japón con hermosos paisajes en todas partes. Los Alpes del Norte en Toyama es la famosa Ruta Alpina Tateyama-Kurobe. Esta ruta se extiende a través de una cordillera y atraviesa magníficas gargantas, lagos encantadores y tierras altas aparentemente interminables. Durante el invierno esta área se transforma en un paraíso blanco, con paredes de nieve que pueden extenderse hasta 20 metros (60 pies). En este tour viajarás en uno de nuestros autobuses de empresa para llegar a Murodo, donde podrás caminar por esta pared de nieve y disfrutar de los otros lugares de interés invernal de la zona. En el camino tendremos una breve parada en Ashikuraji, el tradicional inicio de la subida al Monte Tateyama. Aprenda cómo la gente veía el cielo y el infierno y esta montaña juega un papel en ellos. Aventúrémonos juntos en la historia y luego en el “techo de Japón” y disfrutemos de la belleza de esta región montañosa.

Itinerario
Después de aproximadamente una hora y media llegaremos a la base del monte Tateyama en el Santuario Oyama. Aquí era donde la mayoría de excursionistas y peregrinos iniciaban su ascenso a la cima de la montaña, misma zona a la que nos dirigiremos más adelante. El monte Tateyama era adorado como un lugar del infierno y el cielo y en esta ciudad se puede ver el lado infernal de la montaña. Enma-do es inusual ya que es un lugar para adorar a Enma, el dios que decide quién va al cielo y al infierno. Un poco más abajo del barranco se encuentra también el puente que representa la división entre el mundo de los vivos y el mundo de los muertos. Después de esa pequeña exploración, subiremos nuevamente al autobús y reiniciaremos nuestro viaje hacia la cima.
Llegada a la estación de Murodo. Camine a lo largo de las intimidantes paredes de nieve y a través de los campos nevados en el "Techo de Japón". Disfrute del paraíso invernal en la cima de la cordillera de Tateyama. Cada invierno caen grandes cantidades de nieve sobre el paisaje, lo que lo hace inaccesible hasta que la primavera trae temperaturas más cálidas y la oportunidad de abrir una ruta a través del hielo. El impresionante corredor de nieve, que se eleva hasta 20 metros de altura, es uno de los lugares más emblemáticos de Japón y eclipsa tanto a las personas como a los autobuses turísticos. Su guía le permitirá recorrer entre 1,5 y 2 horas por la zona (dependiendo de su ritmo), incluido el tiempo para explorar el museo y sus alrededores. Zack and Kaori were awesome for the Tateyama snow wall tour! I really enjoyed learning about the history/cultural significance of the mountain, and being given ample amount of time to explore as well.
We had such a great day tour to the alpine region of Mt Tateyama lead by the very knowledgeable Daniel and excellent driver Keira. Daniel explained our route and stops we would make along the way and what to expect. Really glad we chose this tour, which offered private transport all the way to the top at Murodo. We stopped at Oyama Shrine in Ashikuraji and walked down to the red bridge - a beautiful peaceful area, and visited another shrine nearby. Daniel explained the history and significance of the shrines and traditions still practiced today. Once we got to the top at Murodo Daniel showed us around and gave us all the tips to enjoy the free time to wander around the area. It can be very busy with lots of people but Daniel made it easy. We were shown the museum and replica Shrine, and learned more about the traditions of Mt. Tateyama, wildlife and flowers. There is the 'pond', which is amazing with beautiful water colours, and of course the snow wall. Gorgeous visitas everywhere around us! We even got to see snow monkeys on the way back down. It was an interesting day because Daniel knows a lot to tell. He speaks good English and takes his time. The snow wall is impressive but because of clouds the surroundings could not be seen. There's nothing the guide can do about this.
Great day out to the snow wall. Andy was an excellent guide, friendly and easy to talk to. Instructions were clear and he took pains to explain the history of the shrine we went to. Our driver was also excellent. Steady at the wheel and patient. Stopping at various points to highlight scenic spots

I booked a return tour from Nagano to the Tateyama Snow Wall and met my lovely guide Mr Naoya Harada (Hana) and I told him that I needed to end my trip at Toyama instead and he was really nice to link me up with Mike (this Scottish funny guy) who happens to be taking a group from Toyama. Both guides were so nice and helpful with our needs and take really good care of us during the times we are with them. Highly recommend this tour to save a lot of unnecessary waiting time and the journey was so smooth. I was so glad I booked the trip during this golden week in Japan.
