Esta excursión de día completo le llevará a algunas de las atracciones más famosas en Datong, las grutas de Yungang y el Templo suspendido. Grutas de Yungang, declaradas Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO tiene 254 grutas y 51 000 esculturas de piedra, que representan el nivel más alto del mundo del arte de talla del siglo V. El Templo suspendido se construyó hace 1400 años y es único por su arquitectura, así como por su integración del budismo, el Taoísmo y el confucianismo.

El Templo Colgante está construido a mitad de camino del precipicio precipicio del Pico Cuiping de la Montaña Hengshan. Los registros históricos rastrean la construcción del origen del Templo Colgante de 1.400 años hasta el período posterior de la Dinastía Wei del Norte (386-534), aunque mucho se reconstruyó en las últimas dinastías. Excellent easy way to see sites, Nancy provides a full insight to the sites. Transport is comfortable and modern. The Grottos Buddhist caves are the most impressive
I had a wonderful time with the guide Nancy during my 2.5 days in Datong. She arranged everything and had suggestions on where to stay and where to eat. She was flexible - when the Hanging Temple was closed due to excessive winds, she took me to see the Ying Xian Wooden Pagoda, Fogong Temple. It was snowing and she adjusted the schedule to still see as much as possible in my short time. She was also extremely knowledgeable and a great guide through the sites of Datong and the surrounding area. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour!!!
We saw first the suspended temple and then the yungang grottoes, which left at about 9am from our hostel and returned to Datong center at about 5:30pm. The places are worth it and Nancy not only speaks good English, but explains many things, especially about the yungang caves. On the way back Nancy is the driver they were very kind to make a stop at the bus station to help us get tickets to Beijing, and then take us directly downtown where we wanted to have dinner. The real added value of the tour for us was to be able to talk to Nancy and have a free exchange with her, which is very rare with a Chinese in our 3 week experience in this country.

Nancy is the best guide. He took care of getting us the rooms well before check in time. He took us to the Hanging Monastery, worried about trying to learn Spanish words. Very patient and very clear in her explanation. Highly recommended
An excellent visit to the Grottoes and the hanging Temple. We were my wife and I, and the 4 children (7-12 years old) We were picked up by Nancy at the Hotel, in a large van and with a very friendly driver. Along the way he was talking about the culture and history of China, speaking very good English. We entered the grotto complex with her, and she told us the story of how they were dug in detail, stopping as many times as it took to take pictures. The grottoes are amazing, if you come to China you have to see them. When you finish passing the bell, if you ring it 3 times it is good luck, and the children had a great time. Then, on the way to the temple, he offered us to eat in a restaurant with fast and abundant food and very well priced. She and the driver wanted to pay their share, but it was really economical and after insisting she let us invite them. The afternoon visit to the Hanging Temple was spectacular, gives us details of each part of it, and gives us time to take all the photos we want. Even she makes us some very good group photos. Then he took us back to the hotel, and since it was a little late, he even asked us for pizzas to bring to the hotel!! Highly recommended, very well priced, and a guide to the best we have seen in China, and have been almost 20 days!
On our two-week trip to China we spent a day with Nancy. We were picked up at the airport early with a large and very comfortable vehicle (with driver), where our bags were left all day. We first visited the hanging temple (spectacular), then went to eat in Datong and from there to the grottoes, leaving us later in the center of Datong for a walk until our train time. His attention was exquisite with sufficient explanations and giving time to see everything quietly. He had also bought us the night train tickets to Pingyao and accompanied us to the station to pick them up and drop off our bags. He also advised us about other places and even called our next hotel to confirm the arrival time. During the time with her we were able to talk and she was telling us very interesting things about China and its people. In short, an intense and wonderful day. We spend a day during our trip in China with Nancy. She was willing to help in any other things we need for our trip (she even phoned our next hotel to confirm our arrival). During our day with her we could chat about China and its people. Last summer 2017 we took the Trans-Mongolian route, spending a day in Datong to see the Hanging Temple and the Buddhist caves, worth visiting. We contacted Nancy for the great reviews we found and we were not disappointed. He helped us at all times, both in Datong and to get from Beijing.
