Opciones de la excursión
Itinerario

My husband and I were in Timisoara for a wedding and extended our stay to visit other parts of Romania. We choose this tour because we were interested in spending time in the nature, rather than visiting castles or cities. Our guide was Andrei, who picked us up punctually. We enjoyed learning the history of Timisoara and Romania, and hearing about his own family's experience in Romania's transformation from communism to EU membership. The 3-hour drive through the countryside was very pleasant. We visited two waterfalls before the river cruise, which was the highlight. If you are looking for spectacular waterfalls or caves, you may be disappointed. The lesson on geology, however, gave us the appreciation of this area's natural formation. The river itself bares witness to the history of the region, going back to the Roman Empire, and as shown by the various landmarks Andrei pointed out throughout the one-hour ride. The restaurant Andrei chose for the late lunch has a lovely view of the river and offers local fishes. We chose to have them prepared with the local flavor. Overall it was a relaxing and pleasant trip. Andrei was attentive, entertainting, and simply very enjoyable to spend a day with. We were glad to get to know Romania through a local like Andrei.
If you choose this trip you will spend 10 hours (out of 12 hours ) sitting in the car!! You will loose your money! The trip was a nightmare: 10 Hours of car driving in total (at 70 km/h) just to: -see a first waterfall (5 minutes duration) -see a second waterfall (1 minute durations) -drive of 30 minutes in a shared boat (that you also have to pay separately) over the Danube
Your timings listed above are way off the reality of this tour. All the timings regarding the trip are easy to read in the description. As it is a day spent almost entirely on National Roads it's normal to drive on average at 70 km/h. It would be iresponsable otherwise. The same with the prices, it's clear from the description that the boat is not included. I'm sorry that you feel this way and you gave us this malicious and unreasonable review.
We had an absolutely unforgettable experience exploring the Danube by boat and visiting the nearby waterfalls! The scenery was breathtaking — from the calm, wide stretches of the river to the stunning natural beauty of the waterfalls. A special shoutout to our guide, Andrei, who truly made this trip exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the history, geography, and local culture throughout the journey. On top of that, he was friendly, attentive, and always happy to answer questions or adjust the experience to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Everything was well-organized, relaxed, and enjoyable from start to finish. If you're considering a Danube boat trip with a waterfall visit, I highly recommend it — and if you can, ask for Andrei as your guide. He really makes all the difference!
We had a great day with Sergiu. We wanted to see the Danube in Romania and a day trip from Timisoara seemed the best option within our itinerary. We're so glad we did this - Sergiu was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. He took us on a great road trip so we saw a lot of Romanian countryside, then a lovely boat trip on the Danube seeing the Romanian and Serbian sides. We also took a nice hike which ended in spectacular views of the gorge.
Dear Anna, Thank you for your kind words and hope to see you back again one day!
Is a experience not to be missed also for seniors Sergiu was very competent, knowledgeable and helpful and also perfect driver The area is impressive and the trip with the boat was thrilling 😏 Not to be missed
We had a wonderful day together with our guide, Dan. He took us safely from one place to another and led us to breathtaking places. He took our wishes into account so the day exceeded our expectations even more! Highly recommended!
Nice trip! It's worth a little cruise. Beautiful scenery if you can see Decebalo is fantastic! I recommend 3 days is enough p this beautiful landscape.
The excursion is 100% recommended. The beautiful landscapes and the charming guide Sergiu. We had a spectacular day.
Roberta took us on the tour and she was super cool. She knows the area well and explained the history. She was patient and we got along well. She even helped take photographs for us. We enjoyed our time and would recommend to anyone wanting to do this tour. On top of all that she had an awesome playlist for the cat ride. Thank you!
Dear friend Sergiu, From the moment we met, you made us feel welcomed and at ease. Your friendly and approachable demeanour put us all at ease, and I felt like I was exploring Romania with a friend. You answered all of our questions with patience and enthusiasm, and your insights added so much depth and context to our understanding of the culture that it truly made the tour an unforgettable experience. Your recommendations for places to eat and things to do really enhanced my Romanian stay. In short, I made new friends in Romania, and our travel with you was an absolute delight. I never imagined that we would have travelled 1K km together, and I am so grateful for the time and effort you put into making it a memorable experience. Thank you again for everything! I wish you the very best of luck and hope you keep in touch, my friend.
