Descripción
La reserva es un refugio para muchas especies de fauna, algunas de ellas amenazadas, como el canclón, un ave acuática que vive en la laguna del mismo nombre y el cocodrilo de la costa, que ya ha desaparecido en otras áreas del costa. Debido a la diversidad y la gran extensión de los ambientes acuáticos que protege la reserva, en el año 1990 fue declarada sitio Ramsar, un reconocimiento internacional para los humedales de gran importancia.

This is a jam-packed full tour!! We had so much fun with Jefferson, Orlando and Ronald! Gosh the laughs!! Of course the sites were amazing! The lunch at the Cacao & Mango was incredible!! And plentiful!! I highly recommend it!

Good experience especially seeing howler monkeys and so many different types of birds and also saw wild live shrimps The host at the cocoa plantation were superb Only issue was slightly deficient explanation by the tour guide to make things more meaningful (English) speaking guide

My friend and I had a fantastic experience on this day trip. Jefferson was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the area. We spotted a lot of different birds at the Mangrove, and we got to experience the unique sounds of the Howler monkeys. The day ended with a trip to a cacao farm, here we made our own chocolate and learned about the history of the cacao in Ecuador. We were treated to a 3 course lunch here and it was by far the nicest meal we had on our Ecuador trip. I would highly recommend this day trip if you’re in Guayaquil, 5* experience.
