The tubing experience was very cool and our guide was fun, helpful and accommodating! The travel to the site was about an hour there and back. Also, the walk to the caves was approximately 20 minutes with an active group of participants, and some areas we traversed through water and slick rocks. The tubes were waiting for us when we arrived so we did not have to carry them as some other tour groups did. The caves were beautiful and we had the opportunity to float through the caves as a small group and get out to explore for a while as well. Even got to jump off some higher rocks into the water! The lunch and drinks afterward were very tasty! For this tour, water shoes, a water case for your phone and bug spray are highly recommended! Overall, a very unique and fun experience!
Booked the trip through TripAdvisor. Naz was our tour guide. He did an amazing job picking us up from hotel and taking us to the caves. He took us to all the spots and helped us navigate the cave. Really work the money and was the best trip we did here in Belize.
Thanks for the Review, we are Jubilous to hear that you enjoyed a Fantastic cave trip with Naz. thanks for choosing us.
We had the best time on this cave tubing experience. Tubing through the caves and after under the trees was awesome, but even better were the guides who provided a lot of interesting information and most importantly went above and beyond to help our group. My mom was having a tough time making the walk to the starting point for the cave tubing and one of the guides took her in a kayak to meet us at the starting point so she didn't have to cross three small rivers lined with small rocks. Thanks guys. YOU ROCK!!!
Thanks for the review, and thanks for choosing us, yes, cruise to the Belize City Port FSTV and we will pick you up and tour, thanks for choosing us.
We arranged for our guide to pick us up at the water taxi and dropped us off at Cahal Pech in San Ignacio, and on the way we added a side trip to the Belize Zoo. This was a fantastic day trip and our guide added to the experience by pointing local birds and other things along the road. The Belize Zoo was a fantastic addition and gave us an opportunity to stretch our legs as we walked through the exhibits. The cave tubing was so much fun. The walk to the departure point on the river is a bit of an adventurous hike, but I am so glad I did it. The cave tubing is relaxing and so much fun.
Naz was a great guide. He pointed out things on the drive and all thru the tubing. There were only 2 couples so we got lots of attention. The walk and tubing was easy. All necessary equipmemt was provided. The optional walk in the cave is harder, rocky and uneven but not slick. Good water shoes are a must.
Tour operators were quick to get us on our way once we arrived on shore. We had one of our best excursions to date with Fred. The walk through the jungle with the river crossings was fun. Fred was very knowledgeable about many of the jungle plant, tree, and animal species. We learned a lot. We didn't have to carry our tubes since they were already waiting for us at the entrance of the cave. It was just two of us, so Fred guided us through the water with ease. The adventure really started when we parked our tubes inside and hiked over the cave rocks and swam in the water towards the back away from the river route. That's where we saw even more formations including the "waterfall" and some old cave pottery which is scattered throughout. Fred made sure he gave us a personalized, unique, and fun experience. After hiking through the cave, we finished off the rest of the river tubing. If we could, we would give Fred and this experience more than 5 stars. The facilities at the park entrance include clean bathrooms, food, drinks, and souvenirs to purchase. Be sure to wear good water shoes for this one. Thank you, Fred! You were fantastic!
Awesome, thanks for visiting Belize and thanks for choosing us.
Fred and Alex were great! Extremely knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Had a phenomenal time. Gorgeous tour and very private. Highly recommend!
Tubing in the caves and seeing the different formations. We were picked up from outside the Carnival port by Abner of V.I.V. and then driven about an hour to Nohoch Che’en Park to tube. We requested a stop for water which we paid $5 for a 1.5liter bottle. At the park, we rented Crocs for $3 each and then were handed tubes and helmets. This was surprising to me as I had specifically booked this tour because tube portage was included. I didn’t complain to Abner because he would have had to carry 3 tubes but I feel this was deceptive. We crossed 3 rivers, then tubed, swam and climbed through the different caves to see the sparkling ones and the pottery artifacts. We then leisurely floated back to the start and carried our tubes back to the storage locker. It was a fun tour and I learned quite a bit, however, when I went to write this review, I found the same exact tour with the same exact company for $50 less a ticket on Trip Advisor. So now I feel deceived and ripped off.
Hi yes we are happy you enjoyed the tour, The Cave Network is Vast with many caves and chambers to explore, several tour options available for different levels of abilities, from slow and easy, medium and moderate to extreme and fitness ability required. the options are so much different, you choose the one that required tubing, swimming and climbing through the different caves to see the sparkling ones and the pottery artifact and Cavetubing, the other option Cave tubing does not go in that deep into the caves, we float more and there is a option to swim in Crystal Pools, and designed for those that don't want to climb, crawl or swim too much. so yes they similar at the start but the Crystal Caves one is so much more as you did. sorry the crew guy did not carry the tubes that day, we do have equipment personnel at the caves, not only the guides, so that is being addressed. Independent restaurants and bars are not ours and are located in the jungle and it does cost a lot to make and take the items there, so the prices are much more than a city supermarket. and you can shop around at the many shops there. the Cave system is massive with several chambers and we also offer a third option for paddlers using Kayaks to go into another area of the caves , known as cave kayaking ViV, this is designed for the paddlers, best if participants view some kayak videos, join a local club and come to Belize and explore the Caves with us at vivtours, see you soon. Thanks for the review and yes we offer these tours as Private Options as well so we can customize the tour length and extremity. Reserve early, limited experience guides available and limited tour spaces available, secure your tour today.
