Itinerario

Great small group tour! Guide was fantastic and I would not hesitate in booking! It was a great day out from our cruise ship! Top tip - take a head fly net as lots of flies at the lake to make your experience even more enjoyable.
The site locations were really good. I enjoyed visiting each destination. I was disappointed by the logistics. Drop off and pick up should have been in front of the entrance not at the other end of the parking lot or picking up at 10 minutes walk across the road when everyone had less than 30 minutes to explore. The last drop off should have been in front of each cruise ship especially when there is a road and a parking lot to drop people off. The company shouldn't book the same guests on two tours back to back so the entire group is rushed throughout the day only to accommodate 2 to 3 people when everyone else is made feel unappreciated. The tour should have been a bit longer to allow a little extra time at the lagoon and exploring the sights.
Dear Diana, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate it. We're very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the locations we visited. Showing our guests the very best of North Iceland is always our goal. There are, however, a couple of points that I would like to clarify, as I'm not entirely sure I understand what went wrong. Regarding the meeting point and drop-off location, we have a small office in the port, and before every tour we send all of our guests detailed instructions explaining exactly where to find us. Depending on which side of the port the cruise ship docks, the walk is usually between 2 and 5 minutes. So far, our guests have generally found the meeting point easy to locate. If there was something specific that caused confusion in your case, I would be very grateful if you could let me know so we can improve. Regarding the timing of the tour, we never schedule one of our tours immediately after another. In this particular case, a small family had independently booked a horseback riding excursion with a completely different company after our tour. Since we are a small family-run business, we always try to help our guests whenever we can. To make sure the rest of the group was not affected, we arranged separate transportation for that family at our own expense. We specifically did this so that no one else would feel rushed or overlooked. Your tour lasted approximately 7.5 hours, which is exactly the standard duration described for this excursion. We also spent around 1 hour and 30 minutes at Earth Lagoon, exactly as advertised. We always try to include more stops than many other companies because we genuinely want our tours to feel like showing Iceland to our own family and friends. That does make for a full day, and while we understand that some guests would always enjoy having more time at each location, this is actually the first time someone has mentioned feeling that the itinerary was too full. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. We genuinely value constructive feedback, and we will certainly keep it in mind as we continue improving the experience for our future guests. Kind regards, Fox Adventure Team
This was a fantastic opportunity to see several beautiful sites all in the same day. Our tour guide did a great job of managing time and especially helping us avoid the large tour buses and crowds. She shared lots of interesting information and was very helpful throughout the day. We had a fun-filled day of Icelandic beauty followed by a relaxing soak in the Earth Lagoon.
Great small group trip We enjoyed our guide and driver in one Marika. I love to stop at the newly refurbished earth pool. .
The van and specific guide we had (Arnalpur sp?) was just wrong for the purpose. Beginning with he was late and we were tossed around to wrong vans while we waited in the rain. If we hadn’t spoken up we would have ended in the wrong van. Then our guide did not have the personality, knowledge or plans for that day/job. His English was useful at best. He clearly loved his country but had no answers with any details for those of us who were curious. And if you asked questions he slowed down to 15 km/hr leaving enormous busses to have to pass us. He kept asking what time we had to be back by, makingn us feel like we might barely make it back to the cruise in time. At one stop he left the lights on and was talking about using the hill to start the van (mechanical), turns out he didn’t known it had to be in neutral to start. He left it up to a group of 20 to decide where and when lunch would be. He got us to the baths late. He had no ‘meet at the van’ times announced for any stop. In short, I’m not sure how he was hired or if he knew what he was supposed to be doing. He inspired no confidence in that he was aware or in charge for the day.
Dear Maria, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate it, as it helps us improve. First of all, we would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed departure. The tour was scheduled to depart at 8:30 am, but we left at approximately 8:40 am. This was not the guide's fault. Unfortunately, the owner of our company accidentally gave Erlingur the wrong tour start time, and as a result he arrived later than planned. We are very sorry for this mistake. The weather that morning was quite unpleasant, with rain and wind. Rather than asking our guests to wait outside, the owner of our company invited everyone into another minibus so they could stay warm and dry until their guide arrived. Erlingur has been working with us during our busiest days for the second season. He is a local guide, and until now we have consistently received very positive feedback about his tours. That said, we truly appreciate your comments, and we will discuss them with him, especially regarding time management, communication, and setting clear meeting times throughout the day. Our guides always know exactly which locations are included in the itinerary and when they need to return to the port. In fact, we usually include more stops than many other companies because we genuinely want our tours to feel as though we are showing Iceland to our own family and friends. We are sorry that the questions about timing made you feel uncertain about returning to your cruise ship. Our intention is always to ensure our guests return with plenty of time before departure. We are a small family-run company, and that particular day was one of the busiest of our entire season. While this is not an excuse, it did contribute to a few operational challenges, and we will certainly learn from them. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. We hope that despite these inconveniences, the beautiful places you visited with us left you with some wonderful memories of North Iceland. Thank you again for your honest feedback. It is invaluable to us, and we will use it to continue improving the experience we provide to our future guests. Kind regards, Fox Adventure Team
Excellent tour with great driver/tour director Tom for Iceland. He was informative, very knowledgeable & shared interesting stories that made the trip fun. The falls are one of the most scenic. For those who enjoy a short hike it was a special treat to be able to hike up to the base of the waterfall.
Our guide politely and firmly kept us on track without feeling rushed. She answered all questions and seemed to enjoy the time with us. She personally lead us to the best views to provide an excellent experience. Her flexibility with schedules and options supported individual preferences. Highly recommended.
This was a lovely trip and guide Marika was helpful and knowledgeable. For someone with limited stamina, I did find the walking more than expected. We had lovely weather and great views at all the stops. A memorable trip!
Marika was excellent and answered my million questions honestly. She was very knowledgable about everything . Nothing bad to say
This trip made me feel like Im visiting my best friend in Iceland as she was showing me around the best places they have, telling me funny local stories, superstitions and traditions along the way. Time flew very fast and it was totally worth it. Compared to big touris buses this tour had only 10 guests which made it extra special as well. Would love to come back to enjoy the weather, guides hospitality and warm Icelandic weather in summer time. Special thanks to our tour guide& driver Goha (note sure if spelling it correctly!) from Poland .
