We enjoyed our 2D1N cruise with Swan cruises. The ship was a bit older but that also made it charming and authentic. The size of the ship and the group was also ideal - no mega cruise with a large group but also not too small. We had a 3-person cabin that was big enough, with also a spacious bathroom. Again everything felt a bit older and stale but this was part of the experience. During our stay we had 2x lunch, 1x dinner and 1x breakfast. They were always tasty (but also not top quality), and very varied with more than enough food. The juices and lassis were very tasty, the cocktails later on the deck were ok (alcohol content seemed limited to me for the relatively expensive price, but 2+1 free). From activities we had kayaking (super!!), spring rolls (top!), karaoke, squid fishing (difficult), an early tai chi (nice!) and a small walk through a cave and nice beach (not so special). The crew was very friendly and helpful, but it was mainly our guide (Man or superman for the friends) who made such a nice trip. He was very funny, also a bit (too) punctual but he knew a lot and also gave a good, to-the-point explanation! This cruise line is therefore highly recommended if you want to discover Halong bay in a limited group and with a nice crew. In the end they also made a nice movie of our stay which they also shared with us afterwards.

We found the cruise a super fun experience, the group was not too big. Very good food and fun activities done like kayaking, swimming and visiting a cave. The advantage with Swan cruises is that they visit the less busy part. Our guide Sunday was very pleasant and guided us super through our 2 day trip.

We had the Bai Tu Long one-night cruise with Swan Cruises. It’a was very nice en comfortable. The food on board was really great. Our guide “Spiderman” told a lot about the area and take good care of us and the other tourists.

Our experience with Swan Cruises was actually completely positive. Although there are many tour operators in the Halong bay we were very happy with this one. Our guide Sunday was friendly, correct and cheerful from the beginning to the end. He really gave the tour an extra boost. Everything was perfectly organized, from the pickup at the hotel in Hanoi with comfortable bus, the reception, the rooms on board (one with jacuzzi, delicious!), the food on board and especially the care. We sailed to the slightly less visited Bai tu long bay but the activities there were also very nice: kayaking and swimming. Despite the fact that you have to get out early on day 2, that is not for nothing because you are the first to reach the Ten caves, before the big pack comes. There are not really any downsides except that you eat a lot because of the spacious and delicious meals!

We recently spent time aboard the Swan Cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Choosing Bai Tu Long over the busier Ha Long route was the right call — quieter waters, stunning scenery, and a genuinely relaxing atmosphere. The service aboard was perfect and everything ran like clockwork. The whole trip was well organized, with a smooth flow between activities, meals, and downtime, so we never felt rushed or left waiting. The food was good and offered plenty of variety, and our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The real highlight, though, was our guide Sunday. His hospitality was outstanding and added an extra dimension to the whole trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the bay, its geology, and local life, and he shared it all in a way that was engaging rather than lecture-like. On top of that, he kept the group entertained throughout with music and even magic tricks — a lovely personal touch that turned a great cruise into a truly memorable one. If you're considering a cruise in the area, we can wholeheartedly recommend the Swan Cruise, and if you're lucky enough to have Sunday as your guide, you're in for a treat. Highly recommended.

A great experience from start to finish! Our guide Sunday was absolutely fantastic: super friendly, enthusiastic and professional. He told many interesting things, organized fun activities and provided excellent entertainment. The guidance was really perfect! Also the cruise itself was fine: great food, top service and a neat, comfortable room. Everything was excellently taken care of. An absolute must for anyone who wants to discover Bai Tu Long Bay!
