It’s worth going. The tour operators were very nice. Please do not however buy anything from Murano and Burano. It is a rip off.

The cruise was absolutely beautiful The perfect thing to do on a really hot Day. We were not looking for a big guided tour but to do what we wanted when we got there! That’s exactly what we got. There was a tour guide and she was delightful. We hung with her for a while. Both islands were beautiful and had their own unique culture.

No lace demonstration at Burano, but a great little island. More information should be provided about pickup points and what will happen with water bus transfers.

The good point is the islands are very pretty. Sadly the bad points far outweigh the good, the meeting point instructions are awful, they are not clear at all, and not near where you are supposed to meet. A man holding a small sign at his side is not an efficient way to run a trip. This resulted in pads of people being late so the trip Starting half an hour late. The lady speaking on the boat probably had some good knowledge, but you couldn’t hear a word she said. The timekeeping was shocking half an hour late leaving, 10 minutes late leaving each island, so what is explained as a 3 hour trip was in fact 5 hours, fine if you don’t have time restraints but not good if you have. Would be better to take a public water taxi to each island than don this trip.

Regarding the meeting point, detailed instructions with maps and photos are provided before departure, and our staff is present holding visible signage to assist guests with boarding. While the vast majority of participants are able to locate the departure point without difficulty, during particularly busy periods and depending on passenger traffic, departures may occasionally be delayed by a few minutes. As for the duration of the excursion, the indicated timing is approximate and may vary depending on lagoon traffic and docking operations, especially during busy periods in Venice. Our crew always aims to allow guests enough time to enjoy each island comfortably while ensuring safe boarding procedures for everyone onboard. We also appreciate your comments regarding the onboard audio and will certainly take them into consideration as we continue improving the experience for our international visitors. Wonderful trip on the water seeing how glass and lace are made. The time on the boat was so enjoyable. Please, though , do not advertise food and drinks if you’re not going to provide them. It is misleading. Say rather, “food and drinks available for purchase.”

We booked this trip with GetYourGuide, the boat was quite basic but okay, the talk from the guide was minimal and English was difficult to understand. We got off at the first stop and were told we would be picked up again from exactly the same place. We arrived early and myself and family were chatting while waiting for the boat and didnt notice that the boat left from a different place about 50m way as the small boat was partly hidden by the waterbus stop building. We were walking over to check if that was our boat when it left. This could easily had been avoided if we had been told pickup could be somewhere else or one of the guides from the boat had walked over to the place they told us pickup would be and let us know - we were there about 10 minutes early. We then had to pay for the expensive normal waterbus and the company has refused to refund us and falsely claimed it left from the same place we where dropped off, when it clearly didnt - drop off was right across from the glass bowling factory, pickup was the normal waterbus stop.

The meeting point was unchanged, and the vessel used for the tour is a large two-level boat that remained clearly visible in the area during boarding. In fact, all other guests in the group were able to reboard without any difficulty. Our staff always recommends arriving a few minutes early and paying close attention during boarding operations, especially in busy dock areas where several boats and waterbuses may be moving at the same time. We understand that misunderstandings can happen, but in this case the departure procedures and location were correctly followed as scheduled. We nevertheless appreciate your comments regarding the onboard commentary and will take them into consideration as we continue improving the experience for our international guests. I was very disappointed in this trip 1. This was NOT a round trip. It picked us up at the train station but dropped us off a 38 minute walk away from the train station. They said for 10 euros PER PERSON they would take us back to the train station. 2. This tour was booked for our last day and supposed to run from 10-2. Since I thought we would be dropped back off at the train station I booked 3:30 train tickets to leave Venice. We docked at the other location at 3:45 and then had to speed walk to the station to catch the next train which I had to spend another $100 on buying tickets for 3. This was not a tour. A woman did speak over a loud speaker on the boat but the system was old and static-y. This combined with the wind and waves made everything she said completely impossible to decipher 4. This was really just a long boring boat ride with a tiny bit of island exploration. Majority of this “tour” was spend on a boat looking at water. 5. I think it’s important to note that the glass blowing demonstration is not unique to this tour. Many locations on the island offer free demonstrations. I was looking forward to this and it was literally like a 5 minute thing and anyone can watch, no boat tour necessary Tbh I would visit the islands again but just get the ferry. It’s cheaper, it’s faster, and you can do it on your own time.

Regarding the return: the transfer back to the train station area is included only for tickets that specifically include departure from there. In your case, there was likely some confusion about the departure point—we still allowed you to board from the station instead of San Marco as a courtesy, but the return to that area, not being included in the purchased ticket, required an additional fee, as indicated. As for the timing: it is not stated anywhere that the tour ends at 2:00 PM, in fact, its not the correct time. Anyway, the duration may vary depending on several operational factors (lagoon traffic, weather conditions, docking logistics). Regarding the onboard audio: we use a sound system that is regularly checked and generally clearly audible. We take all feedback into account to improve our service, and we regret that some aspects did not meet your expectations.
