13/10 and 5 GOLD STARS! This was a truly magical afternoon / evening. Rajan is both an excellent tour guide and driver. Friendly, prompt, very knowledgeable about KL, the surrounds and Malaysia overall. He is a great host and we learnt a lot. His English is absolutely impeccable and he is passionate about sharing his knowledge and bent over backwards to ensure we had a wonderful time. Stopping to see the sweet and friendly silver leaf monkeys and feeding them was an absolute pure delight, bringing much joy to us all. Rajan suggested we upgrade the tour to include the eagle and bird feeding which was simply magically spectacular and a wonderful addition to an already wonderful tour, The boat ride along the river was very special, including twinkling fireflies and electric blue plankton which was interesting. We certainly will be back!
Private tour, the tour guide, Sundram, very knowledgeable and wasn’t afraid to do a running commentary on the scenery. The lighthouse visit with the monkeys and the boat ride down the river of life was a highlight of the trip. Food was pretty good too
If raja is your driver, he’s nice, but he’s a hustler. Our tour did not include the Batu caves but he offered to taus there anyway. He said I had to have a shawl to cover my shoulders and took us to a shop where they made and sold shawls. They were very expensive and you felt pressured to buy. When we got to the caves there were so many ladies with tank top shirts. I did not need to purchase a shawl, he just hustled us for a sale. The stairs leading to the caves were filthy. Smelled like feces. I didn’t want to touch the rails but it was so steep, you had to. Monkeys were grabbing bags. If you need ruse the restroom there they charge for the toilet paper and the use of the toilet. After that we did see monkeys. If you buy food they will jump on you, scratch and possibly bite. Then when we got to the firefly excursion raja once again tried to get us to buy tkts to see eagles which we did not care to see. The fireflies were dumb. It was a quick boat ride out in mosquito infested waters to see tiny little light bugs. The pictures of the excursion showed a boat with food, but the food was not included. Probably best you don’t eat there. The next day my husband came down with a stomach bug or I’m afraid maybe a monkey bit him. He was trembling and has fever. Raja offered to take us on a private drive the next day and wanted to charge us more than what the app was asking.
Dear Christina, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We value your comments and take such concerns very seriously. We sincerely apologize if you felt pressured at any point during the tour or were taken to any shop unnecessarily. This is not part of our company’s policy, and we will immediately look into this matter with the driver mentioned to ensure that such situations do not occur again. Regarding Batu Caves and the other attractions, we understand that some areas may not always meet cleanliness expectations as they are public sites managed by local authorities, but we do appreciate you highlighting your experience so we can pass along this feedback to the relevant management. As for the firefly tour and eagle-watching options, these are usually offered as optional add-ons, but we regret that it was not clearly communicated. We will review our procedures to make sure all information is transparent for our future guests. We are also deeply concerned to hear about your husband’s condition and hope he has since recovered well. Please rest assured that we are taking your feedback seriously to improve our service standards and ensure every guest enjoys a safe, comfortable, and transparent experience. Safe travels!
Rayhan Raj Naidu was a great tour guide- he communicated well before our tour and always gave us plenty of local information during the tour. We enjoyed the seafood dinner before the firefly tour. The boat ride was well organised with life jackets and plenty of room in the boat. The fireflies were magical as we cruised past the mangroves . Upon return our driver was ready to take us back to KL. we combined this tour with another tour during the day so it was a long but successful day.
Great excursion. The temple is very beautiful to see. The lighthouse and the area with the monkeys are mostly an attraction for tourists but it doesn't leave any great memories. For the boat trip I highly recommend the choice with the eagles, while the fireflies and the blue water are a bit disappointing. The guide did his job sufficiently
Had an AMAZING night. Driver Fauzi was outstanding!!! Had great knowledge and was just so helpful in every way possible!!! Firefly tour was well organised and we saw so many!!! Boat captain was amazing helping us to get up close for a wonderful experience!!! I had my two children with us who loved this tour also( ages 8 and 10) 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience.
The temple was beautiful and the monkeys were friendly, loved the boat ride and the firefly. Our driver went out of his way to help.
What a brilliant trip, Rajan our driver was so knowledgeable and gave us loads of information at each stop- Indian temple, monkeys and areas we passed along the way. The feeding of the eagles was an impressive sight and the fireflies are a one off amazing sight. The food we ordered was delicious and big portions. Rajan made us all comfortable and expertly drove us to the venues and made it a memorable trip - thank you Rajan👍😀🙏
Very good and very friendly drivers , enjoy lots of, We had a lot of fun on the trip, he showed us a lot of different places and we had a good and always memorable time.
This was the worst experience I had ever been in. First the bus was full of roaches and upon telling the driver he did nothing and shrugged it off. Then we went to a Hindu temple I think, and in the rain had to remove our socks and shoes and walk thru the rocks. Then we went to the firefly’s and it was aweful. The plankton blue thing was cool but so not worth the money. Don’t be expecting dinner because even though it said it in the ad it was not included neither was the blue plankton thing had to pay extra. All in all not worth it to me. Just make sure you buy the right trip and read what included first. TWICE!!!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re deeply sorry to hear that your tour was disappointing and that several aspects did not meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize for the issue with the bus and the driver’s response. This is not acceptable, and we will address this immediately with our team to ensure that such issues are handled properly in the future. We also regret the confusion regarding the tour inclusions. We strive to be transparent in our listings, and we will review the tour details to ensure everything is clearly communicated. We appreciate your feedback about the temple and the firefly experience. We understand how these factors, along with the unexpected extra charges, impacted your overall experience, and we will work on improving these areas. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention, and we hope you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future. Safe travels!
