Such a wonderful canal tour, I did the 8 am and it was an amazing way to learn about the city. I loved how quiet the city and canal is at that time of the day. The boat is beautiful and the guide was great. I would highly recommend this canal tour. Even the walk to the tour was great so early in the morning before the city wakes up.

We were a bit disappointed when Dave wasn't our tour guide just because the person that we received our recommendation from said to specifically book his tour. Giselle, the tour guide we had, did a great job though. We enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it to others. Going early in the morning when the canals are less crowded is a must in our opinion. We were happy we decided to go early.

Highly recommend taking the 8am morning cruise, as the canals are far less busy, and there is a sense of tranquility in the city before many people are up. The Captain Dave boat is one of the nicer boats on the canal; smaller and more personal than those large ones that look unappealing. And the furnishings on the boat are charming. Our guide was very informative, if perhaps lacking a touch of charisma or humour. But we learned a lot about the city and the canals, and the views from the water are spectacular. Overall, we highly recommend taking this cruise over others.

This was a beautiful way to see the city. The small group made it very comfortable and easy to ask questions. With fewer boats on the canal (morning cruise), it was easy to take great pictures!
The Canal tour with Captain Dave was a fun, informative, and great experience for the whole family. Our Captian/Guide Ollie made the trip very special.
