Absolutely worth every penny. Everyone was so kind and helpful, seamless experience from arrival to the finish. We saw so many minke whales while we were out, and they came right up to the boat! We also saw sea lions and several dolphins right up close too!
We didn't see any wildlife. They gave us a coupon to come back for 7 dollars but wouldn't honor the coupon.
A couple things about this experience: -if you come on a Saturday make sure to come a little early, the line to check in and get your ticket was a little long but does move fast -the boarding process was easy, we walked right on the boat and found seats -drinks and snacks are available for purchase -my kids did bring jackets as it does get pretty windy on the ride -the staff onboard was great and kept us informed Most Importantly: You may not see any animals, on our trip we saw NOTHING! They even kept us out a little longer to see if we could see anything but there was nothing. The boat ride was still great but just be aware. Because we saw nothing they did give us passes to come back for only 7$. We will definitely come back and try again the next time we visit.
You may not see whales (depending on the time of the year), but the operators are EXCELLENT at knowing where the dolphin pods are! We saw a school of dolphins that hung around for 30+ minutes and gave us quite a show!
What a day! We spent the afternoon whale watching off the coast of Newport Beach and it was an absolute blast. We got so lucky and saw a beautiful whale surfacing, plus a couple of dolphins swimming right alongside us. Such a fun escape out on the water . And top it off our Cruise Captain was two beautiful young Women .
Did not lucky enough to see the whales, but saw the dolphins and sea lions. Price on TripAdvisor/ Viator was good. Nice guide and staff. Checking in was straightforward and smooth.
Amazing experience!!! Saw a brydes whale and at least a 50 dolphin pod. The crew was awesome! Yummy cocktails, soda & snacks.
Seeing sea lions and dolphins was very cool! While I understand that whales won’t be seen on every trip, our guide told us that seeing the dolphins was a good sign which would hopefully lead us to whales. All of the sudden, we were headed back in without a word until we were almost back in the harbor area, and our trip was only 2 hours, not the 2 1/2 hours described when we booked. Wished they could have told us a bit more, too. They had said they would share some information with us as the trip went along and that was very minimal. The guides do this trip often so they don’t probably think about it as much, but for most of us it is an experience, and each experience should matter.
Jill and Addy were an awesome duo. Trip was great! We saw several whales dolphins sea lions and a seal! The trip was everything I hoped it would be
We had a good time but no whales which was disappointing. It was pretty crowded.
