Super fun and engaging cpt and crew. Very welcoming and open to share places to see/visit. Lots of laughs and fantastic views from the water! Highly recommend!!
Aloha! Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear you had such a fun time on our Waikiki Sunset Cruise. It's wonderful to know our captain and crew made you feel welcome, kept the experience engaging, and shared helpful local recommendations along the way. There's nothing better than enjoying great company, plenty of laughs, and the beautiful views from the water. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are so glad we could be part of your Hawaii memories. Mahalo, Waikiki Turtle Snorkel 🌺🌅
Marley our captain, ok girl power!, was so much fun! It was stormy and she chased as much sun as possible. Because I was solo, she let me sit up front with her. She felt like family. The music, the drinks, and the company were everything! As we headed back through the storm, I got soaked. She suggested I go down for cover, but this was my first time in Hawaii, and I wanted the full experience. After we passed through the storm, she had the guys bring me up a towel. One of the other guys, who was a beautiful mixture of Japanese, and two other ethnicities was extremely hospitable and kind. I would recommend these guys a thousand times over. Marcus had me in stitches. It was a wonderful experience.
Aloha! Thank you so much for your amazing review! We're so happy to hear that, even with a little stormy weather, your sunset cruise turned into such a memorable experience. Captain Marley will be thrilled to know she made you feel so welcome. She truly loves sharing the beauty of Hawaii with our guests, and we're glad she could make your first visit extra special. It sounds like Marcus and the rest of the crew kept the fun going with plenty of laughs, great hospitality, and a warm aloha spirit throughout the trip. While we can't control the weather, we always do our best to make every cruise unforgettable, and we're so glad you embraced the adventure—even getting soaked! That's a Hawaii memory you'll never forget. Thank you for trusting us with your first trip to the islands and for recommending us so highly. We hope to welcome you back the next time you're in Waikiki for another sunset—hopefully with a little more sunshine, but just as much fun! Mahalo, Waikiki Turtle Snorkel
Based off the description and signing a “turtle” waiver and so on, was definitely under the impression this also included snorkeling in this package. Definitely did not get what I thought I had purchased.
Aloha! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear there was some confusion about your booking. Our Waikiki Sunset Cruise is a sightseeing experience that includes a relaxing cruise along the Waikiki coastline with beautiful ocean views, music, and beverages, but it does not include snorkeling. We understand how seeing our company name, Waikiki Turtle Snorkel, on the required waiver may have led to that impression, since we also operate separate snorkel tours. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as feedback like yours helps us identify opportunities to make things even clearer for future guests. We hope you'll join us again to experience one of our snorkel adventures or another sunset cruise in the future. Mahalo, Waikiki Turtle Snorkel
From online booking to check in the process was easy. They keep you updated with emails and reminders. Once aboard the captain and crew make an effort to greet their passengers. Captain Marley was super friendly and knowledgeable. The crew as well walked around checking on passengers asking if they could help out with photos. Super friendly and great sense of humor. They also had adult beverages, soda and snacks. Mahalo🤙🏼
Aloha! Mahalo for your wonderful review and for choosing our Waikiki Sunset Cruise! We're so happy to hear that everything—from the booking process and check-in to your time on the water—was smooth and enjoyable. Captain Marley and the crew will be delighted to hear your kind words. They love creating a welcoming, fun atmosphere while making sure our guests have everything they need, whether that's sharing local knowledge, helping capture the perfect photo, or keeping the drinks and snacks coming. Thank you for recommending us as a "must do" activity. We truly appreciate your support and hope to welcome you aboard again the next time you're in Waikiki! Mahalo, Waikiki Turtle Snorkel
I booked the Waikiki Sunset Cruise expecting a relaxing evening on the water. What I got instead was three straight hours of tropical chaos, public intoxication, emotional instability, and one of the best nights of my life. The second we boarded, the deck hands immediately set the tone by roasting people with the precision of professional comedians who just happened to also know maritime safety regulations. One guy walked on carrying six drinks and a mountain of free chips while balancing two sodas and a Mai Tai, and a deckhand hit him with: “Sir, you either trust yourself way too much or not enough.” Another crew member somehow spent the entire cruise simultaneously: * pouring drinks, * hyping up the crowd, * giving safety instructions, * taking photos for strangers, * and bullying a guy named Steve for wearing socks with sandals. Absolute elite multitasking. Meanwhile the actual cruise itself felt like a fever dream sponsored by rum. There were at least seven separate birthday parties happening at once. A woman lost a flip flop to the Pacific and everyone held a brief memorial service for it. A guy absolutely annihilated the free chips like he was training for a national championship. The bartender was making Mai Tais strong enough to make you temporarily forget your PIN number. At one point, the music shifted from smooth island vibes into full blown “middle school dance in the best possible way” energy and suddenly fifty strangers were screaming the lyrics to Sweet Caroline while the boat bounced around like a shopping cart with one bad wheel. And somehow… the sunset still stole the show. The sky looked fake. Like one of those motivational desktop wallpapers your aunt posts on Facebook with a quote about blessings. People were stopping conversations mid-sentence just staring at the horizon like they’d collectively seen a UFO. Meanwhile the deck hands were still running around cracking jokes and keeping the energy going like caffeinated cruise goblins. One of them looked directly at our group while we were trying to take a photo and yelled: “Don’t worry, I can tell from here this one’s going on Facebook.” He was right. By the end of the cruise: * I had made temporary best friends with at least four strangers, * my hair contained 40% ocean air and 60% Mai Tai vapor, * and I was fully convinced that every sunset back home is now personally insulting me. 10/10 experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, dignified evening, absolutely do not do this. If you want tropical nonsense, beautiful views, hilarious crew members, and the exact kind of vacation memory that gets louder and more exaggerated every time you retell it — this is the move.
Aloha Anthony, Mahalo for the incredible review and for sharing such a detailed recap of your evening with us. We look forward to welcoming you back the next time you are in Waikiki. Mahalo, Waikiki Turtle Snorkeling Crew
Wonderful experience with beautiful views. The complimentary Mai Tai drinks were a nice unexpected touch. Our Captain was a sweetheart and seemed to really enjoy what she was doing. The young man hyped up the crew but fell short as we felt they didnt engage with the visitors as much as we thought they would. I would have liked more information during the cruise regarding some of the history areas we were cruising past. All in all, I would recommend this cruise and look forward to doing a dinner cruise next time.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Lisa. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the beautiful views and that the complimentary Mai Tais added to your sunset cruise experience. We will also be sure to share your kind words with our captain. It is wonderful to hear she made such a positive impression. We also sincerely appreciate your honest feedback regarding crew engagement and commentary during the cruise. We understand how additional interaction and more information about the history and landmarks could have enhanced your experience, and we will share your comments with our team as we continue improving our guest experience. Thank you again for joining us. We are happy to hear you would recommend the cruise, and we look forward to welcoming you back.
Very disappointing. Out ticket said to be at the meeting point for 5.30pm. When we arrived at 5.15 we were told the boat went out at 5pm. We were given a refund but were really looking forward to the sunst cruise which I had booked months in advance.
Aloha Catherine, Thank you for your feedback, and we are very sorry you missed the cruise, especially after booking months in advance. Our sunset cruise departure time changes throughout the year based on when the sun sets, as we want to optimize the amount of time guests have to fully enjoy the experience. Whenever these schedule adjustments are made, we always text guests in advance directly to ensure they are aware of the updated departure time. In some cases, guests who book far in advance may still have the original time listed on their ticket, which is why we send those notifications ahead of time. We are glad we were able to provide you with a refund, but we are truly bummed you were not able to join us for the sunset cruise you were looking forward to. We would love the opportunity to welcome you aboard in the future. Mahalo, Waikiki Turtle Snorkel
It was very nice. We were worried about it being cloudy but the sunset was amazing. The crew was attentive and very personableZ. They helped the ladies on the boat.
Aloha Kristi, Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so happy to hear the sunset turned out amazing despite the cloudy skies. Sometimes those clouds make the colors even more beautiful. It is great to know our crew made a positive impression and took good care of everyone on board. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We hope to welcome you back again soon for another unforgettable evening on the water. Mahalo, Waikiki Turtle Snorkel
