I booked because i was taking my five year old to a park and i wanted to make it more interesting. This was perfect bc you can do how much or how little you want. It’s also more fun than searching for specific things! Tara was super hands on and fun too

This was a wonderful scavenger hunt! Not only did it show us an amazing hike, but added fun activities and we learned a lot!! The host was so knowledgeable and fun, she really made this an exciting experience!

Two groups of 4 (each 2 adults and 2 elementary school kids) had a great time “competing” in our scavenger hunt at Joshua Tree. The trail was somewhat crowded but doing the Hidden Valley Trail via the scavenger hunt allowed us to spend a little more time appreciating some of unique and interesting aspects of Joshua tree that we might have otherwise overlooked (it gave us tasks for our kids to complete that required a little more creativity and attention, which entertained them more than a typical hike). It was a great way to experience the park and I would recommend it especially for families with younger kids.

We have done this super fun adventure twice now! Tara creates amazing adventures and we are addicted! This time she even wrote a couple custom clues for my dad’s birthday and to see the look on his face when his whole family was playing his clue was worth everything! Play full on for best results!
Tara was super super sweet and nice. The issue was the actual hunt. It's not a scavenger hunt; it's more of a list of challenges / things to find. After 5 minutes I asked myself why I need to do a $160 where's Waldo. We just explored the park ourselves. I didn't ask for a refund as Tara was very nice. A scavenger hunt is typically a string of clues, where one clue leads you to the next, and it builds on eachother. Clue #2 provides the info for you to find clue #3 and so on. This was a list of things to find and a few challenges, like "do something nice for a stranger". CHAT gpt has this for free.
It is true this is not a traditional scavenger hunt, which I clarify on my listing. It will only be a good value if you choose to do the missions, as this guest did not. Chat GPT does not have my hunt for free. I am more than happy to answer any questions or discuss with you after booking by phone, and if it doesnt feel right for any reason you have until 24 hours before the game to cancel for a full refund. I, too, wish to host the people who are a right fit for this unusual, dynamic, creative and fun game.
We had an absolutely fabulous time doing the scavenger hunt is a family. The day before we went on to small hikes with our 4 kids and they complained to the whole time. On the day of the scavenger hunt they were engaged for the full 2 hours that we were there and we all thought it was a highlight of her trip. I cannot recommend it enough.

Not my first Creative Soul Scavenger hunt but probably my favorite for the magical setting of Hidden Valley and the beautiful connection Tara curates with nature and the history of Hidden Valley. I could see my family was having so much more fun than everyone else hiking the trail and a couple people we met we happy to be part of one of our challenges. Loved out photos and videos to share with family who were afar.
Waste of $$$. Had 2 little kids and tried to do a fun event at Joshua tree. Host would not offer a refund even though we did not use a single piece of the provided “scavenger hunt”. Would NOT recommend.
Its always unfortunate when guests do not read the listing or follow directions. This is a collaborative immersive game that requires guest participation to a huge degree. Its not a sit on the back of the bus event where you wait for it to happen. In the case of this group, when they messaged me they thought it was a private tour of Joshua Tree, I told them it was not and offered a refund at that time. They declined. They were picking up a rv that day after flying in from overseas, so being busy they skipped the pregame info on whats app, skipped the team name and photo( an important building block) and most of their team skipped the powwow explaining how the game worked. if you approach the game this way it is very likely you will have the same result. They also choose a mid day at 105 degrees, which i contacted them about on booking and advised against,. if you approach it like many of my other hunters, by doing the team name and photo, doing the powwow in a quiet place where everyone can hear and taking a leap of faith to do this playful and light hearted game, your results will be good.You are the magic part of this game. If people are grumpy or in a bad mood it is true my game will not be able to fix that. Ps. i do call guests upon booking so feel free to ask me any questions and i can address any concerns. you can always cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours prior to tbe booking date and time.
This was our first time doing a hunt and we had a great time making amazing memories! Host is amazing and helpful as well! Would definitely recommend to everyone 🙌
