Tour por la Cuna de la Humanidad con Lion Safari desde Johannesburgo

This was a perfect half day tour. Our guide, Jason, was super efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. He picked us up from our hotel and cautiously drove us to and from the Lion 🦁 Safari, Cradle of Humankind, and Meropeng. It was such a pleasant ride both ways. Jason was well-prepared and knew exactly what to do to make each stop seamless and enjoyable! At the Lion Safari, we were greeted by the dynamic Mr. Bingo, and our fabulous driver and guide was Ms. Nolu. The Safari was amazing! We saw 4 Lion prides, giraffes, warthogs, wild dogs, wilderbeast, and cheetahs. Near the shops and restaurants, we also saw 🫛 peacocks, ducks, and Nile crocodiles 🐊. We grabbed a bite and beverage after the tour and was joined by Zoey the 🦒 Giraffe. The Cradle of Humankind was also a good stop. The cave climb was amazing. You do have to bend or stoop quite low and climb lots of stairs, but exploring the cave is worth it. Moropeng was interesting. It's a good follow-up to the Cradle of Humankind. The donut boat ride was totally dark in places, but it was very interesting. The costs covers transportation and all entrance fees, which was great. Take cash for tips! Mr. Jason's attention to detail, preparedness, and professionalism made our 1/2-day excursion an A+ experience!

Great tour guide and very knowledgeable

Let's start with the guide Jason, who was SUPER helpful the entire tour. He was polite, very knowledgeable, funny, he made the whole experience much better, now I strongly believe that having a good guide is a game changer! Picked us up at the door of your airbnb, dropped us off, had plenty of water and the van is impeccable, beautiful. The safari at the lions national park was amazing, I forgot the name of the guide but she was incredible. We saw the lions, giraffes, peacocks, crocodiles. All very very up close. The cave was sincerely the best part of the whole experience. Breath taking and it makes you question your whole existence. I highly highly recommend both the company and the guide, AND the tours! Hope to do it again soon (:

We had a lovely day with Jason, who is a nice gentleman. Everything went smoothly and we felt safe and comfortable along the way. It would be even better if we could have a chance to join the two-hour drive instead of one-hour at the Lion Safari Park so we don’t miss hyena and other animals. The sterkfontein cave was very cool. Maropeng Visitor Centre and the Cradle of Humankind were actually just one stop. We learned a lot of human’s origin from the visit.

We had a wonderful time on this tour! The visit to the Cradle of Humankind was fascinating, and the Lion Safari was such a unique experience. Everything was well organized, and our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend it!

Jason picked us up early for our full day of fun. He is a very nice man and a very safe driver! He uses a microphone while driving to share information about the sites or the area we are driving through, which really makes it possible to hear him all the way in the back seat. The lion safari was great, but do bear in mind that in early morning it may be very cold, so you need to dress warmly! Seeing the animals up close was Amazing! The Cradle of Humanity site is fascinating and very much worth seeing. The visit to the cave can be a little scary if you don't do well in the dark, or think you might have trouble navigating small spaces with very low ceilings. The price of this excursion was significant, but it is a great day seeing amazing sites that most other tour operators don't offer. Go and enjoy!

I booked this trip for my dad and I to get out of the “usual” areas and do something different for the day. JP was a fantastic guide - punctual, friendly & extremely knowledgeable. He made sure we felt at home and accommodated for all day. You can tell he is a fantastic host as everywhere we went the people knew him, so you know he knows what he’s doing! We had lots of time for our own activities in between tours and time for lunch. It was a fantastic day and just made it even better that he picked us up and dropped us off right at the front door of the hotel. We can’t wait to book another tour with Deeprift - the planning has already commenced.

Jason provided a comfortable and informative drive to the Lionpark. We then had a fantastic tour of the Lionpark before continuing on to the Cradle of Humankind. This was more than expected and extremely interesting. This was a great tour, and we can't thank Jason enough for his care and attention to detail.

Excellent tour with Jason! Went to the Lion Park and Safari first, definitely recommend it if you want to see lions. They also have cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, warthogs, wild dogs and hyenas. Had a nice lunch on the premises and it was very reasonably priced. Then went to the Cradle of Humankind which was very informative and interactive. There is a short boat ride that has dark areas and strobing lights. Learned so much about how humanity has come to be and a great message to take home.
