I had a really great time going to Cotopaxi with our guides Anthony and Rami. I would absolutely recommend and do it again!

It was a unique experience in Cotopaxi, very well guided and guided in a very careful and attentive way by our guide Anthony and the driver Rami, who made the experience very special. It was all perfect, even though it was snowing a lot, it was possible to complete the adventure of the trail and close with the bike ride to the lake. It was an unforgettable day! Thank you very much to the whole team especially the guide and driver.

Tour started on time at Plaza Foch and then went for the next pick up point. We were 15 people. Alex was our driver and José was our guide. José has a lot of knowledge and information about the region, the culture, the wild life and the vulcanos. Also about the legends. He also stoped twice when spotted animal life (Fox and Dear). Alex and José were also very caring while during the hike and the bike tour. They also showed a lot of ethic stopping to help and take care of a girl that had a car accident and I think this says a lot about how professional they are! We were lucky with the weather and could enjoy the view while climbing up, as the clouds were passing fast and were mostly on the right side of the Refuge. The tour was really nice, a good combination of hike and short ( bumpy ) cycling. Lunch time was also nice and food was really good and well served. Besides that, personally, I'd rather spend less time at the breakfast (1st stop) to enjoy more the nature. We stayed almost an hour there, while we had a really good weather and a completely clean view from Cotopaxi during this time. I know the weather is really unpredictable in the area, but as the weather was nice, I think it would be much more interesting to spend more 45 minutes outside, in the nature, than inside of a restaurant. I totally understand the tour offers this stop for bathroom, acclimatization and food. But I'm sure if well explained to the guests, we could just do a quicker stop to stay more time outside. But anyway, I would choose them again to do this tour or any other in this style, as I had a really nice time.

Simply incredible. The breakfast was very delicious. The ascent to Cotopaxi was marvelous. And our guide Jose was always attentive. It was a spectacular trip.

We had the best time on this tour. Jose was incredibly knowledgeable and took great care of the entire group. He was fantastic with our 3 kids and was able to meet everyone where they were. Would definitely recommend, this was an unforgettable day for our family!

We had the BEST time doing this. We booked this on my husband's birthday for a good challenge. The altitude is no joke. I think 6-10 people stopped after 10 minutes...and that's ok! Make sure you are prepared for the increase in altitude. I hydrated and took some altitude meds the day before (I was coming from sea level). Jose was our guide, which we were lucky to have. He is so patient and funny. He gives you a lot of fun facts about Ecuador and Cotopaxi on the drive up. He even coordinated to have a cake brought out for my husband at lunch. He is a very thoughtful and warm person. We had a few stops to acclimate to the incline for 20-30 minutes and even stopped for a photo-op where there was a BEAUTIFUL, clear view of Cotopaxi. Two parts of mountain biking. First one is steep- so I waited for the second round where it flattens out, which is more manageable and enjoyable. The dirt road is bumpy from the car tracks so you have to have some experience (or feel comfortable) with biking on terrain other than a paved road. You get to bike alongside wild horses which was so amazing! Don't worry they are not aggressive, if anything they are more scared of you on the bike. I wouldn't say the lunch provided was the best- but I was there for the adventure which alone is well worth your time and money! I would absolutely recommend you take a day to do this if you're looking for some adventure.

We had an outstanding Cotopaxi adventure combining hiking and downhill biking, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Joselo, and our driver, Alex. Joselo was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about Ecuador’s landscapes, history, and culture. Throughout the hike, he shared fascinating information about Cotopaxi, local wildlife, geology, and the surrounding communities, making the experience far more meaningful than simply reaching a destination. He paced the hike perfectly, keeping everyone motivated while ensuring we had plenty of opportunities to enjoy the incredible scenery. After the hike, the downhill biking portion was an absolute blast. The route offered spectacular views of the volcano and páramo, and Joselo made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe while still having an exciting adventure. Alex deserves special recognition as well. Navigating the mountain roads is no small task, and he did so with skill, professionalism, and a great attitude. Knowing we were in capable hands allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the day. The combination of breathtaking landscapes, excellent organization, and the outstanding teamwork of Joselo and Alex made this one of the highlights of our trip to Ecuador. If you’re considering a Cotopaxi excursion, I highly recommend this experience—and if you’re lucky enough to have Joselo as your guide and Alex as your driver, you’re in for an unforgettable day.
