The musicians were wonderful and performed beautifully, but unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by highly disruptive young children throughout the entire hour-long concert. There was frequent talking, noise, and movement, making it extremely difficult to enjoy the music or appreciate the atmosphere of the Capuchin Church. While families should certainly be able to experience classical music, an intimate evening concert requires consideration for the performers and the rest of the audience. The organizers should either establish a minimum age, clearly communicate expectations beforehand, or ask persistently disruptive guests to step outside. It was deeply disappointing to pay for what should have been a peaceful and memorable musical experience in Vienna, only for the disruption to continue unchecked throughout the performance. The musicians deserved better, as did the audience.
The church has great acoustics! As a history nerd, I loved knowing that the Hapsburgs were in their cryps below us while we enjoyed the classic sounds of Vienna.
The musical performance was 6 stars. Wonderful. What I found very bad, which is why I gave it 3 stars, is the poor organization. I paid for a seat that they later did not give me. I was in the same spot as a person who had paid half what I did. I felt deceived and scammed.
Classical music concert in a small church with great acoustics. Wonderful Quartet and with an incredible quality!
The music was excellent. Lasted an hour. Easy to get to in city center. Seats were wood (hard). No air conditioning (warm), even at 7p. Loved the earlier time as it also allowed us to see the light show at Votive Church. All other concerts at 8p or later.
Great concert in a beautiful church although it got very hot as Vienna was in the middle of a heatwave. The three violinists and the cello player were all very good.
Very beautiful performance, I would gladly recommend it to others! It is a pity that there was no introduction and presentation of the participating artists.
My 83-year old mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the one-hour concert in the church. Such a lovely setting for beautiful music! The musicians were very talented and clearly enjoyed playing music together. The fact that it was in a church and rather intimate made it more special and moving. Only wish there would have been a "Welcome" and "Thank you" from someone (other than the musicians even) to bookend the concert.
A talented young string quartet playing a collection of well- and lesser-known classics in a beautiful church setting. A great value for the quality of the performance. I will bring more visitors here, for sure!
The concert was one of the best I’ve ever been to. We went on 04.07, there was no line, so we quickly got in. The performers started right on time and delivered an amathing performance. The acoustics were also great. Too bad you can’t record the concert.
