Después de conducir desde San Juan hacia el lado este de Puerto Rico, nos preparamos y alistamos para comenzar nuestras actividades. Completamos una caminata moderada a lo largo de la encantadora belleza del desierto que rodea a El Yunque, llegamos a una hermosa zona de pozas del río donde iniciamos nuestras actividades acuáticas. Desde toboganes naturales hasta saltos de acantilados y balanceos de cuerdas, nos involucramos en una aventura que llena a los participantes con una increíble sensación de vida. Los participantes podrán elegir entre una experiencia de aventura o una estadía relajante y refrescante en nuestra área de recorrido mientras nos bañamos en las hermosas y refrescantes cascadas de El Yunque. Una vez que hayamos terminado con la relajación y la aventura, regresaremos a nuestra zona de inicio para nuestro viaje a San Juan. Podrás explorar la tierra en la que vivieron nuestros nativos y experimentar el terreno en el que se ganaban la vida y llamaban su hogar. ¡Conéctate con la naturaleza y sal con una nueva forma de ver la naturaleza y la vida!
Sus guías de snorkel lo comenzarán desde la costa, donde le explicarán la seguridad y los fundamentos del snorkel. Por lo general, de 5 a 10 minutos. Cómo ponerse cómodo: su profesional de buceo lo iniciará en aguas profundas (3 pies) para que se sienta cómodo con el uso del equipo y le enseñará algunas habilidades básicas de snorkel. Todos aprenden a hacer snorkel y se sienten cómodos de manera diferente y en diferentes horarios, es por eso que hacemos que todos los tours sean privados con sus propios guías de snorkel para usted y su grupo. Tour guiado de snorkel: después de que los guías lo pongan cómodo y se sientan cómodos con usted, le brindarán una "experiencia de snorkel de una hora y media en el océano", mostrándole toda la hermosa vida acuática y los peces.

Terrible ! First they said they would provide transportation ! We had to get a uber to San Juan 30 min away to snorkel that was $50 .Snorkeling gear sucked ! Our guide said snacks and water would be provided when I asked her for a water after snorkeling and before hiking she said no and would only give us one after the hike . She did give us water and a bag of chips ! The water was a 4oz bottle . Ridiculous. I asked if she could take pics of my family since we were told to leave our phones in the van . She said she would not be filming or taking pics . Definitely a bummer we paid so much money for this and all the way around it was such a bad experience! Never again !

We’d like to clarify that transportation details are clearly outlined on our booking platform. Transportation is included only for guests in the San Juan area or nearby. If your accommodation is outside this area, guests are required to meet us at the designated activity location. Regarding the experience itself, we did speak with your tour guide, and from their account, the tour was conducted according to our standard procedures. Water and snacks were provided at the appropriate time during the tour, and we apologize if this did not align with your expectations. While we do recommend guests to leave valuables like phones in the van for safety reasons, at the end customers decide what to take on the tour and what to leave behind in the van. However, photography services are not included in this particular tour. We truly regret that you left feeling disappointed and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve. Me and my friend did this tour and the El Yunque part was a lot of fun! You get to hike thru the rainforest which means you do have to walk thru some mud, stairs, walk in the water thru rocks, etc. Once you arrive at the main spot, there are optional activities such as hiking a little farther to slide down the rock water slide, jumping off the cliffs (theres an 8 ft one, a 12 ft i think, and a 20 ft drop), the last optional activity is rope jumping into the water. Our tour guide (im blanking on her name but she had glasses and curly hair) she was great! She was taking pictures and videos of us during the excursion and she texted them to us later on that day. While the El Yunque portion of the trip was great, I was disappointed in the snorkeling portion of it. I was not familiar with the Balneario El Escambron so I didn't realize that it's just a literal beach that's free to the public. The only charge for the beach is if you park there which is like $6 dollars. I thought that we were goin to go on a little boat and snorkel in the middle of the ocean, but we literally just parked, walked to the beach, put the snorkel equipment on that was provided to us, and walked into the ocean & snorkeled right there near the shore (basically just the sides of the shore) all in all, its not worth it to pay for this snorkeling experience bc it would be soooo much cheaper to just buy your own cheap snorkeling kit at a walmart and get into this public beach for free.

That said, we do want to gently point out that our tour description does clearly state that the snorkeling takes place from shore at Balneario El Escambrón, not by boat. We include this detail upfront so guests can make the best choice for their adventure style. Escambrón is a protected marine reserve — ideal for seeing tropical fish and coral in calm, shallow waters. And while it is a public beach, our guided experience includes not just the equipment, but personalized attention, safety guidance, marine life education, and in many cases, photos and videos too. It's a great fit for those who might not feel confident navigating the reef alone or who want a stress-free, curated experience. We definitely appreciate your feedback and are glad the rainforest hike left such a strong impression. Hopefully next time, we can match you with a more adrenaline-packed water tour — and maybe a boat, too. 😉
JD and Orlando were phenomenal. They were friendly, fun and very knowledgeable about the area. My husband struggled on the rock climbing, but Orlando was patient, supportive, gave great direction and made sure that my husband not only stayed safe, but was able to experience the entire tour. We had a great time!! Here are some feedback. El Yunque was definitely an adventure. Pretty strenuous but our guides helped us tremendously by making sure we don’t get hurt. I am so glad they mandated life jackets & helmets to keep us safe. I couldn’t believe some other ppl on other tour wore flip flops and no helmets because it was pretty slippery at some areas and some ppl fell on their butt. I thought it might get cold but no, T-shirt/short bathing suits underneath was perfect. We got to do water slide, cliff jump & rope and they were so much fun!! Kids definitely enjoyed it. When we got back from the hike, there was a sorbet truck. MUST to try it!!! Delicious ❤️We were hungry and they provided us chips and water. Snorkeling was ok because it was stormy afternoon but we got to see a turtle and some fish! The tour guide was super friendly and knew a lot of thing so ask him questions! You definitely want to wear old shoes you don’t mind getting mud. I wish we had brought towels to dry ourselves after hike & snorkeling. Pack some protein snacks because you get a good workout from the hike!

The good: Transportation provided. Did not have to drive to Rainforest (narrow roads); small group - 6 of us for Snorkeling and 5 for rain forest; my 11 year old daughter had fun. The ok: The snorkeling area was a small paid park in San Juan. No turtles but some fish. Typical activities for El Yunque (apparently) - water slide, rock jump and rope swing. Very crowded but guides on other tours seemed nice and engaged with their groups. Did provide bottled water and chips. We were at the snorkeling area for about 90 minutes (tops) and about 2 1/2 hours in rainforest. The not so good: guide 45 minutes late picking us up. He was also a poor communicator - he didn't provide an overview of the day, did not describe the area or history of Puerto Rico and had to be prompted to provide even the most superficial information about 2 plants in the rainforest (ginger and bamboo). He did not help anyone up rocks and went ahead or took breaks to smoke. No stops for food so we were really hungry by the end. In all, this was not what I had been hoping for or expecting based on the other reviews. Given the high cost, I would definitely look elsewhere.

We are sorry about your inconvenience with the delayed pick up, but we understand that the tour guide made his best efforts regarding the heavy traffic that was going on while they were trying to reach your location and even kept you informed with various updates via phone call. Our tour guide provided the service as detailed. We provided the transportation service for both rainforest and snorkeling tour. This tours are describe as a adventure no as a history tour, if you are looking for history tours we recommend you the old San Juan history tours. We also provided water and chips. The rainforest tour is for travelers who have a proper physical condition and are able to travers uneven terrains without assistance as detailed on the description. We also state that we do not stop for lunch. To our understanding and your explanation, we provided the tour properly, but it seems you did not read the tour descriptions.
This was an amazing trip. Our tour guide Athena was knowledgable, caring, patient and fun. El Yunque is absolutley beautiful and I would love to visit again.

This tour was so much fun! The rainforest was beautiful and we felt so at ease hiking through the forest thanks to our amazing tour guide Athena. We saw beautiful waterfalls and went down a waterfall slide. After this we went snorkeling and saw many fish and even saw a sea turtle. Overall a great experience!

Athena was our guide and helped us plan our excursion. She has wonderful energy and helped make our girls trip the most special ever. I was scared of the hiking but she was with me every step making sure I enjoyed every minute. It was a wonderful experience. The company is amazing with fantastic customer service !!!

This tour was one of the most life-changing experiences I've ever had. I booked it impulsively because I wanted to do something adventurous in Puerto Rico, even though I'm not naturally adventurous—I'm scared of everything (lizards, spiders, heights, water), and I can't swim! But I couldn't miss the chance to visit the only U.S. rainforest. Fortunately, they provide life jackets and helmets, which were very effective. I'm so glad I booked with this specific company, and our tour guide, Xander, was amazing. Xander was personable, informative, and most importantly, incredibly patient and encouraging, even as I had panic attacks at almost every part of the excursion! He motivated me to complete the entire tour, including a cliff jump I never thought I could do. I’m really grateful for his support. Xander was also very knowledgeable about the rainforest and shared fun facts about the area. He took us to a delicious, authentic Puerto Rican BBQ spot that was so good I bought one of everything! The tour ended with snorkeling, where I did more panicking, and Xander did more reassuring. Despite my nerves, I was able to enjoy the experience, thanks to his constant check-ins and encouragement. I honestly doubt I would have completed the tour without him. I’m so grateful to have had such an awesome guide and company. When I return to Puerto Rico, I’d definitely do a second run of the El Yunque Rainforest tour—or any other tour—as long as it’s with San Juan Tours.
