Descripción
Nuestro guía turístico lo recibirá en el lugar de recogida, a la hora de recogida previamente acordada (llámenos para confirmar). Luego nos dirigiremos hacia el este durante unos 45 minutos hasta El Yunque. A lo largo del viaje, se pueden proporcionar comentarios e interpretaciones en vivo de su entorno, así como información sobre nuestra herencia puertorriqueña, tanto en inglés como en español. Veremos las Cataratas de La Coca y la Torre Yokahu una vez que lleguemos a la Selva Tropical. Luego, durante unos 20 minutos, caminará a través de la flora hasta llegar al arroyo del río en un sendero natural (tenga cuidado con el suelo resbaladizo y desigual). ¡Recuerda traer tu toalla y bañador! (La natación depende del clima). Después de la selva, abordaremos nuevamente el autobús y viajaremos a la Playa y Kioscos de Luquillo, donde permaneceremos dos horas para que puedas comer o relajarte en la playa antes de regresar. Finalmente, terminaremos el día devolviendo a los invitados a su lugar original de recogida.

Después de tanto andar por el río Rainforest, será el momento de relajarse, descansar y comer a su antojo en los quioscos y la playa de Luquillo. También tendrá tiempo para relajarse en la hermosa playa de Luquillo y disfrutar de la sabrosa cocina local que ofrecen los quioscos ... ¡Que la pases bien!
Esta torre de 69 pies fue construida por el Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth (ex supervisor forestal y director de IITF) a principios de la década de 1960. Desde la Torre Yokahú se pueden observar cuatro tipos de bosque: Colorado (liso hacia el sur), Tabonuco (alrededor irregular con Yagrumos de hojas blancas), Palma (en las laderas empinadas) y Bosque Nuboso (en las crestas) son visibles a lo largo con la costa y todo el camino a las Islas Vírgenes en un día despejado (10 millas + vista). También se puede observar el denso bosque viejo del Área Natural de Investigación Baño de Oro en la parte alta del Valle Mameyes hacia el este.
Este sendero corto desciende a través de los árboles de Tabonuco en el bosque montano bajo hasta el río Mameyes, designado por el gobierno federal como “Río Silvestre y Escénico”. A medida que se acerca, el rugido del río lo empuja hacia la piscina Las Damas y otros lugares favoritos para nadar. Este es un buen sendero para familias con niños pequeños y grupos escolares. Este sendero recibió muchas inundaciones y daños después del huracán María. El reemplazo del puente peatonal fue parcialmente financiado por donaciones a través de la National Forest Foundation (NFF) que trabaja con el cercano Wyndham Rio Mar Grand Resort y sus invitados.

My family and a friend booked this trip but my friend was not allowed in the bus the day of the activity because they didn’t had her on their booking list even while having the ticket on hand. I called their customer service number and they stated the ticket said “call to confirm” and the ticket was cancelled. The ticket does not say that, the ticket says it was confirmed. Not once did I receive an email regarding this cancellation. Very upsetting, Other than that our tour guy was good and great personally, unfortunately we felt like we were always in a rush to get things done. Had a good time, just wouldn’t recommend this trip.
Our reservation system showed that one participant's booking had been canceled prior to the tour date. As a result, that guest was not included on the final passenger manifest provided to our guides. For safety, insurance, and operational reasons, we cannot transport anyone who is not listed on the official manifest, even if they present an outdated confirmation. If you did not receive a cancellation notice, we recommend contacting the booking platform where the reservation was made, as they are responsible for sending booking updates and notifications. Regarding the pace of the tour, this is a full-day experience operating from approximately 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. During those seven hours, guests visit multiple locations throughout El Yunque. While we understand that some travelers would like to spend more time at certain stops, doing so would require eliminating other locations or returning well after the scheduled end time. Our tour guide Angel was amazing, sharing a lot of interesting information about history, plants, trees. The scenery was beautiful!!!
This excursion was exactly what my mom, who is in her 60s, and I were looking for. The walking is minimal and not too difficult. We got to see a lot but it didn’t feel overwhelming or too much. Our guide, Josh, was super helpful and informative. You can tell he really likes his job and people. Love that we had a small group of only 6 people, so our tour felt almost private. There were no hiccups or issues with anything; bus was on time for pickup and the tour followed the itinerary. 10/10!
People, do yourself a favor and do not book with this company! There are plenty of more friendly, reliable and customer-oriented companies in San Juan. First, we booked for December 2, 2025 and they canceled because they didn't have the minimum number of tourists. We agreed to reschedule to the next day, 12/03/25. They called in the morning to confirm the pick up and told us to be at Ocean Club at 8:55. When nobody showed up at 9:05, we started calling the company to inquire where the driver was, all nervous that we won't make it on time for the tour. Several minutes later, the owner called us back and said we couldn't be on the tour because "we yelled at the driver". He basically cursed us and canceled again. Just choose a different provider to avoid the disappointment on your vacation!
Thank you for sharing your perspective. We would like to clarify the sequence of events for accuracy. Your tour on December 2 was rescheduled at your own request after you agreed to move to the following day. On December 3, our driver called you for two simple reasons: To share his direct number for coordination. To inform you he would be approximately 10 minutes delayed. During this call, you raised your voice at the driver in a manner that violated our conduct standards. Our drivers and guides are trained professionals, and verbal aggression toward staff is not tolerated under any circumstances. Although your pickup location was outside our normal service area, we still arranged it as a courtesy since you had been rebooked. Unfortunately, your behavior during the phone call left us no option but to refuse service, as we prioritize the safety and well-being of both guests and staff. We are committed to providing respectful, safe, and enjoyable experiences. When a guest’s behavior breaches our conduct policy, we reserve the right to deny participation for the protection of our team and other guest. We wish you well in your future travels.
Rafael was a great guide, super nice! You don’t really spend much time in the rainforest, just a very quick walk through and like 30 mins at a river which was a bummer if you were looking for a little bit of a hiking experience. Lots of time on the bus. Luquillo beach was beautiful and fun though! Best part

First time in Puerto Rico. I enjoy the rainforest. It rain on us but that a rainforest. The beach was crystal clear water. The hike wasn't that bad. It was incredible
