Después de su recorrido exclusivo por el Coliseo, visitaremos el arco triunfal adyacente, una imponente obra maestra en mármol blanco, que rebosa de detalles intrigantes. El emperador Constantino hizo erigir el monumento en 315 d.C. para conmemorar su victoria sobre Majencio unos años antes, una batalla que afirmó haber ganado con la ayuda del mismo Cristo. A pesar de su afirmación, no hay símbolos cristianos en el arco. En cambio, hay estatuas de prisioneros dacios y relieves que representan a Marco Aurelio dando pan a los pobres. El interior del arco muestra la victoria del emperador Trajano sobre los dacios.

It’s long and hot in the summer. However, Tonia was amazing, paced our group well and made the most of the shade. She was very knowledgeable and took extra care with my 79 year old mom.

It’s super hot in the summer and unfortunately still have to lineup !! The tour itself was good - you learned a lot and vasco tries to answer every question. Make sure to bring lots of water!
